OOTD - 17 January 2026 (Weekend edition)
I don't typically post the sedate weekend outfits, but I'm mixing it up today. I wore most of this - sans jacket - to a baseball tournament for my 13-year old son. The jacket came on in the evening for a simple dinner at home. One big item to bring up (big for me) is the duplicity from YouTube men's style channels guidance on socks vs. undershirts, including a new video from @Antonio Cent, where the showing of skin on the lower legs is chided (and thus OTC socks are recommended) but this same process in the upper chest is chastised for using crew necks. I have never heard this explained and would love to understand why skin in one area - with an easy way to hide the skin - is strongly encouraged and then strongly discouraged on the legs. Outfit details Shirt: Short sleeve Tommy Bahama soft collar button-down shirt in a herringbone tone on tone pattern Slacks: Fort Belvedere Stancliffe corduroys in dark brown - rare high-ride slacks in my wardrobe Undershirt (only listing because of the above diatribe): Ralph Lauren navy crew neck undershirt Jacket: Cashmere single-breasted two-button jacket by John W. Nordstrom in a sandy beige color Belt: Milord navy leather belt with a silver buckle Shoes: Norstrom woven fabric shoes in navy Socks: Ralph Lauren navy socks Watch: Fossil Townsman with navy backplate, gold inside metals, and a caramel watch band
