My wife and I decided to kick off Vietnamese New Year celebrations this week—full of enthusiasm, cultural respect, and probably too much optimism about my calendar-reading skills. We pulled up to the temple, ready for lanterns, lion dances, and good vibes… only to discover the actual ceremony is next weekend. Yep, we were a full seven days early. The silver lining? The round-trip drive was a whopping 2 miles from home, so we didn’t exactly burn a tank of gas or lose a weekend. Crisis averted—barely. But hey, all was not lost. I finally got to debut my new fedora paired with a new pair of grey wool trousers. Hi All, sorry for disappearing. Bought a house and was focusing on work. I feel a bit silly asking but it’s been years since I bought shoes in the Bay Area (that was not a second hand store). A buddy of mine is just getting into quality men’s fashion and wants to get a couple good shoes around $250-$400 each. What would you all suggest?

My friend Mona who owns the 40 x 60 unconditioned shed we meet for martial arts workouts, had the flu or something for several weeks then snowmageddon hit so we couldn’t meet for the whole month of January. Today was the first day in 2026 we got to do our weekly pre church kickboxing class. This time of year it’s an exercise of shedding layers to exercise in the cold building. I got new iPhone recently and a $.99 per month Apple Watch paid over 36 months so I thought what the heck I’ll try a $36 watch/computer. So I wore two watches on my first OOTD. Following the workout I attended our services on Scout Sunday and as the troop Chaplain felt I needed to be in full class A regalia for my second OOTD. After the service we had a review of another great John Mark Comer book. So preceding my nap and Super Bowl festivities (third OOTD pending) I truly had a Body, Spirit, and Mind day so far.
