Sometimes an outfit just builds itself. I scored this light weight sport coat over the weekend at Jos A Bank. The shirt, tie, trousers and shoes practically jumped out of the closet at it. The textures really elevate it too- linen blend, suede, wool blend, and crisp cotton. I feel like a million bucks. My buddy Steve Giles called this color of gaberdine trousers Cary Grant grey. That made me chuckle but I get it. This classic deep double forward pleat is a staple design that I picked up several months ago from him. I am wearing it with a Brooks Brothers wine shirt, cashmere socks and my 1982 Alden Shell Cordovans. Cheers

Monday's are the start of the work week! I spend most of Sunday's preparing for the week ahead. Laundry, Ironing, Shoe Shining or Brushing etc. I find it very therapeutic getting all of my weekly chores done so that I do not have to worry about not having the Shirt or shoes ready for the week ahead. Yesterday was mothers day so I spent most of the day with my wife and mother in law making sure they were celebrated in a meaningful way, so that means I stayed up a bit later to get all of my things done, and when I went to bed I had an overwhelming sense of accomplishment and satisfaction of a day well lived and lived with intention. When I put my head on my pillow every night I ask myself the question. "Did I do my best today?" "Was I intentional, thoughtful and Kind?" If my answers are yes, then I find myself sleeping very well. If I am not being honest with myself, I tend to sleep restlessly. I try to be completely honest with the answers, but I also have learned to give myself some grace if I slipped a bit in one area or another, and just the honesty of it all also lets me sleep soundly. Intentionality for me is not just about dressing, it permeates all areas of my life! Wishing you all an amazing Monday!!

Having a great time with our Sr. associate Pastor and his wife. He was my son’s youth pastor back in the day. Taught him to fly fish and he nailed 11 yesterday two over 17” rainbow. Drug an MTM sports coat for the bagpiper cannon shot sundown dinner at Top of The Rock dinner last night otherwise in jeans and khaki pants all week end. Day two of fishing here in 30 minutes.
