Pairing a white T shirt
In what ways would you pair a white T shirt stylishly? This is a color which should flatter all skin tones and matches with all neutral colors and earth tones. I don't think a white and white monochromatic look would look sharp. especially on men. I have seen many ladies pull it off, but of course that is a different genre of dressing.
From an unwell American who has received a blow to the head
I am a big Chaps Guide fan. This video he did from 11 months ago does a great job of explaining the difference of sensibilities between the US and the UK in regards to style. Naturally as an American who embraces, as well as prefers our Classic Timeless Menswear traditions especially those which I used to sell (a more Ivy League leaning), I have to disagree with him. Yet I am totally aware and respect his cultural perspective for appropriate wear in the UK. Here, while Oxford shoes and tailored trousers will always have an upgraded formality- it is perfectly appropriate to wear dress tassels and brogues with tailored wear including a suit. It also fine to wear jeans with a tailored coat to many functions. Basically, here-jeans are one step below chinos. Occasionally I will hear some US folks in the RMRS community get confused about these issues. With the death of quality mens’s stores we are left with the noise of the internet. I would recommend to my US brothers to be aware of the writings of G. Bruce Boyers, Allan Flusser, and look Ralph Lauren interviews to understand the US version of CTM. There are also some quintessential menstores that one can peruse online such as J Press and Ben Silver that will help a guy get started who seeks direction if he is in the US. Outside the US this varies greatly and I would love to hear from your perspective brothers. There are many national cultural norms that simply don’t fly in other regions of the world. It’s fun to learn about these. Now it’s time for me to see a Dr. about that blow to the head Ash🤣 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WG73wyOGPX0&pp=ugUEEgJlbg%3D%3D
The Hard Path is the Only Path
You will never build greatness on the path of least resistance. It’s impossible. Greatness is built on the path of most resistance. Every time you choose the easy way out… You weaken yourself. Every time you choose the hard path… You build yourself. Strength. Skill. Discipline. Awareness. Those are the rewards. And if you actually apply what you learn… They compound. That’s how growth happens. That’s how people separate. The truth is simple: If you want to win… You have to seek out what’s difficult. Not avoid it. Because the easy path doesn’t lead to a better life… It leads to mediocrity. And eventually… Loss. Suffering. Regret. So stop looking for the easier way. Start choosing the harder one. It’s the only path that leads to greatness. ~ Andy Frisella
