OOTD Sunday
I have wanted to wear my new ivory chinos for awhile, so I paired them with my blue sport coat, purple Charles Tyrwhitt dress shirt and burgundy Allen Edmond tassel loafers. My socks were somewhat of an eggplant color from Calvin Kline and my burgundy belt was from Anson Belts. My shoes are new-used from eBay, and my shirt was thrifted. I think it worked!

OOTD 2026-08-02: Brunch, Then Heading Home, & A Note On Green...
We're planning on making a couple of food stops this morning before heading home. We're planning on sharing a brunch dish at one cafe then stopping by a British pub - The Poppy & Parliament - for a Scotch Egg, drinks, and dessert (maybe a sticky toffee pudding). Today's outfit features a lot of green. I haven't worn a ton of green, but the addition of these loafers and linen shorts - along with a couple of green shirts - has caused an uptick in the amount of green regularly showing up in my outfits. That's likely to continue into the fall and winter, as the other item I had commissioned with my tailor is a dark teal green, Prince of Wales, Reda merino wool, three-piece suit...

Vintage footwear
Anyone else into vintage footwear? I scored a pair of O'Sullivan USA made late 50's or early 60's black wingtips. I believe these are completely original, other than having a little black shoe polish used on them occasionally. All I did to them was Bic 4 leather conditioner, and a little bit of neutral cream polish. The interior of the shoe is nearly mint, even down to the original boot and shoe workers union stamp, and all of the original part numbers and sizing. Since the original O'Sullivan heel stack is still on there, Im going to assume they've never been resoled either. Even the sole leather is still in excellent condition. Even though I will be selling them, because they aren't my size. I enjoy cleaning them up, and bringing new life into shoes. Especially ones that are over 50 years old. If there were ever a picture that needs to be used to represent the old saying "They don't make them like they used to".....this is definitely it.
