Good morning gentlemen, So, many of you know that my grandson wanted to start this journey at an early age, and I have encouraged him to do so. I have had him watch videos, of different topics, held discussions with him, and encouraged him to become knowledgeable in every aspect. He loves to wars his Chinos, and polos, and he definitely loves to wears suits and blazers. Most of the time he wears loafers and he generally only wears tennis shoes when he has gym. (smart young man). So the other day he come home and he was from what I could tell a little perplexed and upset. So I inquired what was wrong and at first like any young teenager, he did not want to say, being that he felt embarrassed, but I encouraged him to tag to me, and he stated that at school this one kid made fun of his school because he was wearing loafers instead of Jordon’s and was doing this in front of other kids. I asked him how did he respond? He, stated “ I did exactly how to told me to respond, I took a pause for a couple of seconds, then I looked him in the face and I asked him in a firm but elevated voice to repeat what he said.” I said so what happened? My grandson stated, “ He kinda hesitated, then he fumbled his words and made fun of me Assiniboine in the same words or tone.” I said How did you refund after that? He said to me” I just looked at him for a second and turned away and walked off.” The he said that “the other kids began to look at the kid doing the bullying, wandering why he just let me walk away.” I asked my grandson how did that make you feel? He said, “ At first I was embarrassed, then I was mad, but after I did what you said I felt better and in control when I walk off.” I had mixed emotions about this, I hated that he was expressing himself and at the same time being bullied, but also that he stood his ground. But here happened next was all worth it. The next day my grandson went to school and several boys came to him and began to ask him about his clothes and his shoes and where he got them from. There girls asked him to sit with them at lunch. And some kids went to the teachers and told them what happened and that kid was suspended from school. But the real ending is this ,my grandson went to the school principle and asked that that kid not be suspended because obviously was not raised right or given the opportunity to dress better and that he would like to be friends with him and help him.

It's always wise to knock their socks off before showing up. On the sartorial stage, I did get to some shoe care this weekend. It's still a learning curve, but I went all the way to a poorly executed mirror shine on the toe cap of my wholecuts. My oft worn brown AE oxfords also needed some TLC so I nourished, polished, and waxed these guys. Sadly, two pairs in one weekend is a record!
