shaving experts… need help
made a major rookie mistake while shaving. i hadn’t properly switched the blade out, and didn’t disinfect it properly for a bit, and now i have some nasty red and inflamed razor bumps on my neck. what’s the best way to deal with them? so far what i’m planning to do is to not close shave for 7-10 days and use an electric razor for now with a guard, gentle skin cleanser, and introduce a salicylic acid solution to use every few days? also i might add a benzoyl peroxide solution to kill bacteria locked in with a moisturizer. can this routine help me out? any other steps you guys recommend?

DISCIPLINE IS NOT A PUNISHMENT
People who perpetually lose in life see discipline as a punishment. Discipline is not a punishment. Not having it is the punishment. People confuse the two. They treat discipline like it's a burden that's robbing them of the "fun" they think they're missing. They never stop to think what the real punishment is. Living in a body you hate. Working a job you can't stand. Being broke. Being inconsistent. Feeling powerless and weak for life. Letting circumstances dictate your entire life. Looking back on years of your life knowing you left nearly all of your potential on the table. Having to admit to yourself when you are about to die that you really didn't try that hard. Teaching the next generation to be exactly like the version of yourself that you hate living as. That's the cost of not having discipline. That's the real punishment. Think about that. ~ Andy Frisella

FIX YOUR INTERNAL DIALOGUE
Your suffering doesn't come from the work. Your suffering comes from your attitude about the work. “I have to work.” “I have to train.” “I have to handle this.” No. You get to. You're healthy... You're alive... You're capable... ...and you've been gifted the opportunity to show up and build a great life for yourself. Quit acting like that's a burden. It's a massive privilege. Most people don’t hate their life. They hate the bullshit stories they tell themselves about it. Focus on what you “have to do” and you’ll resent everything. Focus on what you “get to do” and everything changes. Audit your internal dialogue. Refusal to do so will ruin your life. ~ Andy Frisella

you “get” to is such a small change that makes such a big difference on your psyche. a lot of us (probably evolutionary) tend to focus on the negatives when in reality we likely have it better than we have it worse. don’t be toxically positive either, acknowledge your issues, but remember that they can be worked through.
