So in my attempt to win the @Michael McDonnell Pocket Square Humanitarian of the Year award, I have started searching the pockets of (breast pocket, usually) of thrift shop suit coats and blazers. This morning I found two. First was a standard old handkerchief with an “S” monogram. Nothing exciting. But then I saw this very well worn cream colored blazer with “Tailored For…” embroidered inside. I dug down in the breast pocket, and sure enough, a very compactly folded/smashed dark blue pocket square. It had obviously not seen daylight for many years. Just for fun I opened it, did a quick “four miscellaneous peaks fold” and replaced it nicely in the pocket. It made a “what the heck?” kind of jacket into a very respectable gentlemen’s offering. I wonder if @Michael McDonnell felt a warm fuzzy around 12:30pm CST?
