When I dance, I break free…
Wanted to share this text by Gabrielle Roth (founder of the 5Rhymts), I made this photo yesterday during my 5Rhytms dance session. Our teacher had this hanging under her dj set.
I relate to every word of it and it is magical.
Together with YogaNidra, this dancing (with a group) has been my source of transformation and healing. And it is becoming more and more ecstatic 🤩
When I dance, I break free.
I make up my own steps,
Let the beat all the way into my soul.
I ride on the waves of the music like a surfer.
I bump against parts of myself,
Go between, around, strecht what I know.
I go where I have never been.
Through dance I’ve journeyed
Through my body
Into my heart
Past my mind
Into another dimension of existence,
A dimension I call ectasy,
Total communion with spirit.
