FAILED NEW RELAY WORLD RECORD

Yesterday we saw something unusual at the Friday night lights in Manchester. An elite 15 assembly to try and break a new mixed relay world. The record is just over 49mins, and the elite 15 team smashed a 46:43, a 3 mins new world record. WHAT THEY DIDNT EXPECT was that the British athlete Sinead wasn’t wearing her ankle chip 😫 Which disqualified the whole race.

It was a true shame as they had a beautiful clean race. But rules are there to be followed.

A rookie mistake that costed a lot for them. Is it only her fault or the whole team that didn’t double check?
