I did this workout today and wanted to ask what the expected performance was for each 12-minute block. My running pace was 5:00 per km, but I wasn’t able to complete two full rounds in each block within the 12 minutes. However, after the 12 minutes were over, I continued and finished my round in each part. Overall, I just wanted to understand how this workout was expected to go. Was it normal not to finish two full rounds within the time?

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation, I really appreciate it. To be honest, I was so focused on the time during the workout that I actually felt frustrated and a bit angry while training. Now I understand the purpose much better. I’ll definitely repeat this workout again in the next few weeks and approach it with a smarter mindset and pacing strategy.

Hi, I’m Ana, living in Vancouver. I participated in my first HYROX Vancouver, completing two races in 4 hours , a solo and a doubles event. I coached three teams during the event, and now my focus is on preparing one of my athletes to break the 45+ age category record at HYROX Vancouver 2026. At the same time, I’m training myself to break the Guinness World Record for pull-ups, while adapting my body to the HYROX training system so I can perform even better.
