Saturday Run Club 🏃‍♂️‍➡️
This session is all about breath control, pacing awareness and finishing speed, three things that matter massively in HYROX when fatigue starts to creep in. The pyramid keeps intensity honest and controlled, while the final 200s force you to hold form, cadence and breathing under pressure, just like late race runs after stations. Focus points today: • Smooth, relaxed breathing through the pyramid • Stay disciplined at RPE 5, don’t drift faster • Sharp turnover and intent on the final sprints This is where control becomes performance. Drop a comment once you’re done and let us know how it felt!

Happy New Year, Team 🎉
As we roll into a new year, I just want to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for showing up, for asking great questions and for being part of this community. The conversations, curiosity and commitment I see here are exactly what make athletes better ...not just fitter, but smarter and more intentional. If you raced last year, take what you learned and build on it. If you’re preparing for your first HYROX, trust that the work you’re doing now compounds faster than you think. We’ve got some really exciting things coming in 2026 - more education, better tools and clearer pathways to help you train and race with confidence. Gus and I are looking forward to continuing to support you inside this space and seeing the community grow! Let’s make this a great year for Hybrid Racer. Happy New Year and thank you again for being here. - Chris

Happy New Year Guys...lets make 2026 a big one! 🤩🚀
Roxzone
Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing well and that the holiday season has been treating you well. I’ve got a question, this time more focused on strategy and athlete behaviour during a very specific part of the race: the Roxzone. In my last race, the Roxzone alone accounted for almost 6 minutes. While it often feels like a “dead” phase of the event, it clearly has a significant impact on overall performance. From a strategic standpoint, how do you recommend approaching this section? • Should the Roxzone be treated as a continuation of the run, maintaining rhythm and intent? • Or is it more effective to deliberately adjust pace and breathing to prepare for the upcoming station? • And how should the exit be managed to avoid losing momentum back into the run? Finally, does your approach to the Roxzone change meaningfully between solo and doubles races? Apologies for the length of the question — the more I study, the more questions seem to surface.

Yes Monsta...only seeing this now! I think Chris covered it here! The Roxzone is an important part of the race and it is important to have your strategy before the start line. You also may find that you can have different transitions for different stations and be aware of your strengths and weaknesses.
Happy Christmas everyone
Hope you all have a great Christmas / holidays and an amazing 2026 👊🏼💪🏼

🎄 Merry Christmas, Hybrid Racers 🎄
Hey Guys, We just wanted to wish you all a very Happy Christmas! Here is a festive workout for over the holiday period… HYROX: 12 Days of Christmas 🎅🏽💪🏽 You can run it solo or (even better) rope in a few training buddies, put some music on and make it a session. 🎁 How to use it • Set up all 12 stations • Follow the classic “12 Days of Christmas” format If you’re travelling or limited on equipment over the holidays, don’t forget to check out the Hybrid Anywhere classroom for more at-home options. Have fun with this one and most importantly enjoy the holidays with friends and family 🙏🏽
