Are you a Systems Thinker?
I loved this classic video from Sam Ovens (Founder of Skool) on Systems Thinking.
Don't let the topic intimidate you. Sam describes it very simply. It's a really important concept.
In essence, every aspect of your personal training business impacts every function in the business. We must not think in silos.
For example, when you tell a client your going to send them a study after a workout, and you don't do it, they are less likely to renew, and less likely to tell a friend.
Every function of the business is a means to grow the business.
Better customer service e.g. doing what you say you're going to do and responding consistently to client questions and requests is just as important as delivering great workouts and generating new leads.
And with this in mind, you need a Customer Service System. This shouldn't be complicated. Perhaps it's just having the discipline and organisation to block out 30 minutes once per day, where you get back to all your clients questions, do client admin, update programs, etc.
It's in your calendar. You never miss it. It's the same time every day. You don't multi-task. You eliminate all other distractions and just focus on customer service activity.
It's important to have this level of organisation for every element of your business. Most of us take this approach to client sessions, which are clearly booked in the schedule. The same approach should be applied to sales & marketing, customer service, managing money, etc.
Anyway.... here's the full podcast with Sam on Systems Thinking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcxiCDNHJpM
PS. Sam has an ENTIRELY different brand today. No more fancy New York apartments and flashy things. So ignore all that shite lol.
