๐Ÿ† WIN: Being Healthy Enough to Show Up
There was something Coach Bobby shared with me today after HIIT Cardio class during our 1:1 conversation that really stuck with me.
He asked how I was feeling and my response was simpleโ€ฆ every day I am able to work out is a wonderful day for me. โค๏ธ
I shared a little about a close friend going through serious health challenges right now, and it honestly puts so much into perspective. Most of us take our health for granted until life forces us not to.
Coach Bobby also mentioned he received my Playoffs response email about which stations I would feel strongest in for the 45 second push. I told him I know my strength is better than my endurance ๐Ÿ˜… so my top choices were the barbell squat press and deadball over-the-shoulder throw. But I also told him Iโ€™m open to wherever Iโ€™m needed and willing to challenge myself.
Then he shared something that really resonated with meโ€ฆ
As a coach, he tries to encourage members to participate in benchmarks, challenges, and playoffs, but many people hesitate because theyโ€™re scared of low scores, being uncomfortable, or worrying what others think.
And his response was:โ€œNo one cares and they will not remember your score.โ€
WHEW. ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ
Immediately reminded me of Coach saying the same thing:โ€œNo one cares.โ€
Not in a harsh wayโ€ฆ but in a freeing way.
People are too busy worrying about themselves to judge you the way you think they are. The point isnโ€™t perfection. The point is being willing to get uncomfortable, challenge yourself, and grow anyway.
That conversation hit differently today because when you see someone fighting for their healthโ€ฆ you realize being able to move your body, sweat, lift, walk, and simply SHOW UP is already a blessing.
So yesโ€ฆ I may not have the best score. I may gas out. I may struggle.
But Iโ€™m still showing up. And Iโ€™m proud of that.
