First day at Universal Studios was a good one! We played around with the kiddos and discovered something hilarious, our family can handle tennis, football, and rugbyโฆ but we are definitely not built for basketball ๐๐
๐ donโt judge us ๐คญ
I stayed within my calorie deficit the first day, which felt like a win! ๐ช
Second day, I did go about 200 calories over, enjoyed a hamburger with fries ๐๐ and honestly, it was worth it. I didnโt bring my scale (left it at the hotel ๐
), but I was still able to use my food scan camera to snap a pic of my burger meal and track it as best as I could.
I made it to the gym the first night ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ but the second nightโฆ whewโฆ I was exhausted from all the walking and running after the kiddos. That park will humble you real quick! ๐
We drove to and from , traffic from SF wasnโt too bad, enjoyed some good music and scenery ๐ถ๐ On the way home, we stopped at a viral spot called Markโs Kitchen in Fresno and had to try her bomb a$$ sh!t ๐
Letโs just sayโฆ I was counting calories up until then, but all self-control went out the window ๐๐ and boy, that was an experience ๐
What I learned from this trip:
Trips are not as easy as we think when trying to stay on track ๐ฅด BUT I also learned that enjoying the moment with the kids while staying as mindful as possible with your goals is doable. Itโs okay to enjoy here and there โฆ otherwise you miss the important moments.
I canโt tell you how many times I had to turn down some good-looking food on this tripโฆ it was a real struggle! ๐ฎโ๐จ
Still, I kept moving, stayed mindful, and made memories with my kids , nieces and nephews and thatโs a win in my book โค๏ธ
