Majority of us in here struggle with sleep. And if you’ve been around Coach long enough, you already know… “Schedule your sleep like your life depends on it.”
Because it absolutely does.
Last night?
I was tired as fudge. Lights out at 10pm. Alarm set for 6am to hit the gym.
6am came…
And so did the snooze button. 😴
Now listen — I know myself. When I’m THAT tired and still drag myself to the gym on a workday, I don’t have two hours to give. I end up exhausted, low energy, and trying to push through on fumes.
So instead of forcing it… I adapted.
I went back to sleep.
Total sleep: 9 HOURS. 🙌
And this Sleeping Beauty woke up READY.
Then my partner comes home from the gym and says:
“What happened to going at 6am?” 🙄
Sir.
Bruh.
I said my PLAN was 6am.
My BODY said, “Not right now. Get back to sleep.”
That does NOT mean I’m not gyming today.
It means my time changed.
And let me tell you something —
A rested Lena is a dangerous Lena. 😈💪
The beast is coming out to play today because this Sleeping Beauty got her recovery in.
He just stayed quiet after that.
Bless his heart for dealing with me for almost 12 years. Especially hangry Lena. 😂
Moral of the story:
Sleep is not quitting. It’s strategy.
Adapting is not weakness. It’s maturity.
And if you’re tired… REST so you can show up stronger.
Because we don’t skip.
We adjust. 💯
