Majority of us in here struggle with sleep. And if youβve been around Coach long enough, you already knowβ¦ βSchedule your sleep like your life depends on it.β
Because it absolutely does.
Last night?
I was tired as fudge. Lights out at 10pm. Alarm set for 6am to hit the gym.
6am cameβ¦
And so did the snooze button. π΄
Now listen β I know myself. When Iβm THAT tired and still drag myself to the gym on a workday, I donβt have two hours to give. I end up exhausted, low energy, and trying to push through on fumes.
So instead of forcing it⦠I adapted.
I went back to sleep.
Total sleep: 9 HOURS. π
And this Sleeping Beauty woke up READY.
Then my partner comes home from the gym and says:
βWhat happened to going at 6am?β π
Sir.
Bruh.
I said my PLAN was 6am.
My BODY said, βNot right now. Get back to sleep.β
That does NOT mean Iβm not gyming today.
It means my time changed.
And let me tell you something β
A rested Lena is a dangerous Lena. ππͺ
The beast is coming out to play today because this Sleeping Beauty got her recovery in.
He just stayed quiet after that.
Bless his heart for dealing with me for almost 12 years. Especially hangry Lena. π
Moral of the story:
Sleep is not quitting. Itβs strategy.
Adapting is not weakness. Itβs maturity.
And if youβre tiredβ¦ REST so you can show up stronger.
Because we donβt skip.
We adjust. π―
