So, I have been coughing for nearly a month now and recently sustained intercostal muscle strain from the violent coughing in the night.
This has really made me pause to focus on recovery. I am limited in exercise but makes it a point to stay consistent with my steps whenever possible.
I'm reminded through this that haste will not aid my recovery but consistency would. Consistency with my protein intake, my calories, with being mindful of my food.
It is a test of my disciplined self who cannot stop moving.
I hope that anyone who may be going through an injury recovery will find the patience to stop and ensure that the body recovers well before going hard again.
