Feedback, Please...
We had a really great conversation in the PERSONALS yesterday, and some of us ended up chatting for more than 2 hours! Our next session will be on Wednesday but at a different time, so make sure to check your calendar and block off the date because we will be doing a recorded round-table where you will get to introduce your group, your expertise, and who your group is for. The recording will then be posted to the community as a whole, so you will want to make sure you are there for that! After the round-table, we will turn the recording off and open up for discussion for as long as people want to stay (within reason, I'm not sure I have the stamina for one of @Alexander Walter 's 5-hour marathons!!!! 😂). We discussed many things including how to plan for more members joining the Classifieds (our goal is 10,000 members 🤩). The discussion was around how to make sure that everyone still has the opportunity for visibility when there will be so many members posting. The feeling was that post people won't scroll past the first page. 💡 An idea was put forward to get rid of the General Discussion and Communities tabs (and possibly the Freebies tab) and instead have the categories be based on topics - tech, relationships, health and wellness, education, hobbies... I'm not sure how detailed or specific we would want to go - I guess that would be the next decision. I don't want to have too many categories, so that is something to consider as well... ‼️ I'm looking for feedback to see what the group thinks. For any decision I make, I always make it through the mission, vision, and values of the group, and for this group the simplified answer is this: mission - visibility for all through exposure and enhanced connections and collaborations; vision - 10,000 members interacting and supporting each other in their growth; values - high-quality everything so that there is a reason for people to join, to interact, and to keep coming back!

The CLASSIFIEDS Premium Tier - Everything You Need to Know!
If you are already on the Premium tier and want to know how to make the most of it, or are thinking about upgrading, here is everything you need to know... ⭐️ 🗞️ In the Standard tier, you can post in the community once a day in any category (except for days with a hashtag prompt, then you get an extra post!). There are two kinds of acceptable community posts: "anything" promoting your Skool group, or offers that are free (freebies, free workshops, podcast promotions, your own YouTube channel promotions). You can see the list of categories in the How It Works pinned post. These "rules" are for both standard and premium members. 🌟 🗞️ Now for the additional benefits for Premium members: 1. Premium members are allowed to put an "ad" in the classroom to advertise anything they want - free or paid. The ad stays up for as long as they are a premium member. Ads rotate weekly. 📰 You can place your ad by creating a draft course in your own community and then copying the course key and sending it to me to copy into the Classifieds. Course keys can be found by going to the thumbnail of the course in your classroom and clicking on the three dots in the top right corner. 2. Premium members also have access to all live events on the calendar. This includes meetups twice a month (called the PERSONALS) and open drop-ins once a month. 📆 The meetups are structured and focus on improving your visibility as well as helping you make connections and foster collaboration. 3. Premium members also have the opportunity to host their own free masterclass for all members on the CLASSIFIEDS calendar. This gives you the chance to provide value to the members and then pitch your group or product at the end. 💵 In order to qualify to host a masterclass, you have to first take my How to Teach a High-Value, High-Converting Masterclass workshop ($27). The next one is being offered on January 6th with doors opening for registration January 2nd. After taking the prerequisite workshop, the first masterclass you offer is of no charge. Subsequent masterclasses that you would like to offer will be subject to a $10 administrative fee.

HOW IT WORKS - READ THIS FIRST
Ever wonder how you can let people know about your Skool community? Feel like you have so much to offer but don't know how to get people involved? Wish there was somewhere you were actually allowed to promote yourself and talk about your offer? Look no further! The Skool Classifieds are the place where you are not only allowed to promote yourself, but you are actually encouraged to do so! Like the Classifieds section of your local newspaper or the Community Message Board at the gym, this is the place to let people know what you do and what you offer. Here's how it works: 1. Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! 2. You can post once a day only. This is to keep the group from getting spammy. If it's spammy, people won't read and you won't get noticed. Post as many days in a row as you want, but please do not post the same thing day after day - mix it up! 3. Make sure you add your post to the appropriate group/heading. Please see below for a description of what each group is for. If you don't see a group that is appropriate, message me. 4. Self-Promotion is what this group is all about, but please do not DM people with your offers. You will be removed from the group for doing this. 5. Introduce yourself in this thread, and then scroll up and find someone you have something in common with. Reach out. There are some really amazing people here! 😉 This is a place for us to support each other for our mutual benefit. Hate speech, offensive language, or general negativity will be deleted, and you will be removed from the group. *Please check out this post for more tips on how to get great results from your posts. And also this post by one of our own community members who has had great success growing his group through the CLASSIFIEDS.

🤝Self Promotion done right
People don't know how to self promote, and as a consequence of that, they just annoy others and get baned from spaces. Here is how to do it the right way. PS: I made this post about how to self promote with the classifieds, but this one is more broad to include strategies for multiple platforms. This is a sequential step by step on how to grow through content marketing in different places without being annoying and geting baned: 1. Know where your audience is. Search for groups that are relevant for your niche, where people are asking questions about the subject you master. Give great answers to the questions people make and repurpose those answers for content that is relevant and high quality. I talk more about that here. 2. Use that content to promote yourself in different groups and platforms. You don't need to spend a lot of time doing that. If you put effort into the answers you give helping people, that help will already be great content for several communities and social media spaces. Just copy/paste and add some stuff to give context for the problem. 3. Follow the structure: Eye cathing hook in the title --> informative text that makes people want to continue reading -> CTA at the end, if allowed (Call To Action - requesting people to pay for your services, join your communities, subscribe to you). 4. Be careful with CTAs. Each place will have a different rule regarding that, with many outright prohibiting you from using them. Read the rules of the place you're at and see if linking peoople for your own stuff is allowed. If it's not, just contribute with high quality content and wait for people to reach out to you. 5. Be consistent without being annoying. People will hate your brand if it just annoys them. Provide something different and valuable each time and give it a rest. Posting more than once a day in the same place might make people tired of you if you don't have a great reputation there yet. 6. At the beggining, look for feedback. Be humble, get opinions, figure out how people perceive your brand, gather feedback, reinvent and improve your message. Your first ideas will problably not work as well as you want. People need to have a very clear idea of what you're offering and want that for them. You grow by giving what people want, not what they need. 7. Don't brag. Bragging smells like scam. If your hook is something like "I made 1000 dollars in one month. Click here to find out how" you will automatically get flaged as a scammer for everyone that is not new to the internet. Use a hook that really translates what you're offering in a clear and honest way, but at the same time catching people's attention. Don't make extravagant promisses that you can't fulfill and don't be vague about what you do. 8. Only DM people if they reached out to you first. Like if they answered on your post or joined your community. And even than, only do it if you really feel like it's necessary and that you can really help them. In most places if you send unsolicited DMs, you get baned. The best thing is to help people so much that they will want to DM you themselves to get more out of you. 9. Be patient. It takes time to get where you want to go. Even being very consistent, it will take a while for you to stop talking to yourself. People might need to see you more than once to be convinced, but don't push it. Just prove that you're worth their time. In the meantime continue focusing on step 1, helping people in different places.

Sales Calls Are Not Performances
Hey everyone! This was a game changer for me and for people that I have worked with: You’re not there to entertain - you’re there to align. People buy when they feel understood, not overwhelmed. Your confidence is not in your words but in your ability to guide the conversation. We talk about this and more inside our COMMUNITY. We also have a live workshop coming December 16th about communication on Skool - you wouldn't want to miss that! Hope to see you inside! Ivan
