#MetricsMonday March 9 And a question for you...
I've been a little MIA on the stats reporting, so my apologies - especially now that there are so many interesting analytics to see! If you are new here, I report on these metrics because it was requested by the community owners. You are here for visibility, so it makes sense that you get to see how visible the group is... Total members:1527 Premium members: 225 Ranking in Money: #26 Ranking overall: #90 Visitors in last 30 days: 5,428 Sign Ups in last 30 days: 282 Conversion Rate:5.2% Engagement:77% Percentage of Members at Level One: 35% What It All Means: 1. One of the things I'm most proud of (and it's all because of YOU) is the percentage of our members at level one. If you check some of the other groups out there, you will find that this number often hovers around 70%. The fact that so many people join the group and engage is not by chance! 2. While our number of sign ups has slowed a bit, I am still turning away more than 50% of the people who ask to join the group, which is why the conversion rate is low. Why??? you ask.... Well, it is very important to me that this group remains a quality group that is in a supportive and non-spammy way, and that means that I have made the very tough decision to restrict it to Skool group owners only. In case you are worried that this decision means you are only promoting to Skool group owners, that is absolutely not the case. I'm going to attach the screenshots of the traffic sources below and you can see how far-reaching this group really is. I was very surprised to see so much traffic from ChatGPT! 3. For a group our size, I'm happy with the engagement rate of 77%. It's at 90% in my other group, which is closer to ideal, but I totally understand that people are going to engage in this group in different ways over time. 4. Which leads me to the premium members... I'm still interested in finding more ways of providing value to the members with enhanced visibility. For now, I've decided that it's not through pinned posts, but I do believe that the ability to meet with others in the group in person is HUGE. I've seen amazing results from the people who have attended those sessions, and the opportunity to host your own masterclass and show people what you know and how you can help them is also amazing. So, I have to do a better job of promoting that.

The CLASSIFIEDS Premium Tier - Everything You Need to Know!
If you are already on the Premium tier and want to know how to make the most of it, or are thinking about upgrading, here is everything you need to know... āļø šŸ—žļø In the Standard tier, you can post in the community once a day in any category (except for days with a hashtag prompt, then you get an extra post!). There are two kinds of acceptable community posts: "anything" promoting your Skool group, or offers that are free (freebies, free workshops, podcast promotions, your own YouTube channel promotions). You can see the list of categories in the How It Works pinned post. These "rules" are for both standard and premium members. 🌟 šŸ—žļø Now for the additional benefits for Premium members ($3/month or $33/year) 1. Premium members are allowed to put an "ad" in the classroom to advertise anything they want - free or paid. The ad stays up for as long as they are a premium member. Ads rotate weekly. šŸ“° You can place your ad by creating a draft course in your own community and then copying the course key and sending it to me to copy into the Classifieds. Course keys can be found by going to the thumbnail of the course in your classroom and clicking on the three dots in the top right corner. 2. Premium members also have access to all live events on the calendar. This includes meetups twice a month (called the PERSONALS) and open drop-ins once a month. šŸ“† The meetups are structured and focus on improving your visibility as well as helping you make connections and foster collaboration. 3. Premium members also have the opportunity to host their own free masterclass for all members on the CLASSIFIEDS calendar. This gives you the chance to provide value to the members and then pitch your group or product at the end. šŸ’µ In order to qualify to host a masterclass, you have to first take my How to Teach a High-Value, High-Converting Masterclass workshop ($27). The next one is being offered on January 6th with doors opening for registration January 2nd. After taking the prerequisite workshop, the first masterclass you offer is of no charge. Subsequent masterclasses that you would like to offer will be subject to a $10 administrative fee.

HOW IT WORKS - READ THIS FIRST
Ever wonder how you can let people know about your Skool community? Feel like you have so much to offer but don't know how to get people involved? Wish there was somewhere you were actually allowed to promote yourself and talk about your offer? Look no further! The Skool Classifieds are the place where you are not only allowed to promote yourself, but you are actually encouraged to do so! Like the Classifieds section of your local newspaper or the Community Message Board at the gym, this is the place to let people know what you do and what you offer. Here's how it works: 1. Invite other Skoolers you know to join the group using your invite link. The more people join, the more people there are to promote to! 2. You can post once a day only. This is to keep the group from getting spammy. If it's spammy, people won't read and you won't get noticed. Post as many days in a row as you want, but please do not post the same thing day after day - mix it up! 3. Make sure you add your post to the appropriate group/heading. Please see below for a description of what each group is for. If you don't see a group that is appropriate, message me. 4. Self-Promotion is what this group is all about, but please do not DM people with your offers. You will be removed from the group for doing this. 5. Introduce yourself in this thread, and then scroll up and find someone you have something in common with. Reach out. There are some really amazing people here! šŸ˜‰ This is a place for us to support each other for our mutual benefit. Hate speech, offensive language, or general negativity will be deleted, and you will be removed from the group. *Please check out this post for more tips on how to get great results from your posts. And also this post by one of our own community members who has had great success growing his group through the CLASSIFIEDS.

Why Skool requires a different approach from social media...
Hundreds of thousands community owners on Skool are trying to have engagement in their communities, all at the same time. You may recnognize this pattern from the approach to social media: 1. Posting, posting, posting 2. Hoping for likes and comments 3. Increasing engagement 4. Getting more visibility, etc. etc. However, posting more on Skool does not necessarily lead to more visibility, more members, more of what you are trying to achieve. More often than not, it's the opposite. - Members become less active or even leave - New members don't know what to do - And you are getting tired of "pushing" content. So if that's the case, why not start posting LESS?! We built a little tool to enable Skool community owners to do a quick scan of the engagement and activity in their communities. → You find it here. (It's NOT a link to our community). Long story short, if you are struggling with getting your members to engage, try to figure out why first, instead of doing more of the same!
The Price of the "Your Best Course" Build Lab is Going šŸ†™
You may or may not know that my main community is the "Your Best Course" Build Lab. It is where I use my award-winning expertise as an educator and curriculum specialist to help purpose-driven entrepreneurs like you create high-touch, high-quality, high-impact online courses that get real results for both you and your students. Right now, the standard tier is $12/year, which is a steal of a deal for my Validate Your Best Course mini-course, the supportive community, and monthly guest speakers. š—¢š—» š— š—®š—暝—°š—µ šŸšŸ², š˜š—µš—² š—½š—暝—¶š—°š—² š—¼š—³ š—²š—»š˜š—暝˜† š˜„š—¶š—¹š—¹ š—Æš—² š—“š—¼š—¶š—»š—“ š˜‚š—½ š˜š—¼ $šŸ®šŸ³/š˜†š—²š—®š—æ, which is still a steal of a deal IMO. šŸ˜‰ So if you've been on the fence trying to decide if you want to learn how to create courses that people actually finish, now is the time to take the plunge. Oh, and if you think that courses are dead and it's all about the "party in the community," I've got news for you, and I'm addressing this exact topic on this week's episode of The ART of Online Course Creation podcast. Listen here.
