You're not too sensitive. You're just missing one thing:
I'm a highly sensitive woman.
I can be like a sponge that absorbs everybody's problems, energy, and moods.
I grew up in a house where there was no room for emotions. I learned to carry mine and others’ in silence.
Years ago, I wasn't aware of this, and I lived drowning in overwhelm, stress, and anxiety.
I’ve done a lot of inner work to let go of this unhealthy habit…
And since I implemented this one non-negotiable, everything changed:
I set strict boundaries.
• I don't watch the news or allow anyone to talk to me about it (unless it's something that will directly affect me).
• I don't gossip, or allow my family to tell me about other people's problems.
If I can't help them, then there's no point.
My inner peace is more important.
• When someone around me is stressed or being negative, I visualize a huge glass between me and them.
It reminds me that I can be there for someone without carrying their emotional turmoil.
You might think it's rude, but it keeps me sane.
Now I’m calmer, more grounded, and resilient.
I learned that only when my inner world is at peace can I truly progress towards my goals and contribute to improving the world.
☀️ P.S. Your inner peace is not selfish. It’s the foundation of everything you’re building.
That’s why I built HER Wild & Wise Home, a community rooted in somatic healing and Structured Spirituality for female solopreneurs who feel everything deeply.
It's a safe space where you learn to feel your emotions, hold your boundaries, and build a life and business from inner alignment, without carrying everyone else’s weight.
