One of the things that helped me navigate 30 years of moving around the world was learning to be more mindful, especially about where I put my attention. 🌍
That doesn’t mean ignoring the hard stuff. There were plenty of moments of loneliness, uncertainty, questioning my identity and where I belonged, and feeling completely isolated at times. 😢
Mindfulness isn’t about pretending everything’s okay or forcing yourself to “stay positive.” There's no "fake it till ya making" required! It’s about noticing what’s happening and realising that we do have some choice over what we focus on. 🔦
