I was looking at Loki (my dog)…
and it made me stop for a second.
He doesn’t overthink anything.
He doesn’t question what he feels. He doesn’t try to make it logical. He doesn’t doubt himself.
He just knows.
If something feels off, he reacts. If he trusts someone, it’s instant. If something catches his attention, he’s fully in it.
Completely present. Completely certain.
And then there’s us…
We feel something…
and within seconds we’re often like
“maybe I’m overthinking”
“maybe I’m wrong”
“maybe it’s nothing”
We override ourselves so quickly.
And it’s kind of strange when you think about it.
Because we weren’t born disconnected from ourselves like that.
Do you trust your first instinct?
Or do you tend to talk yourself out of it?
