After recently acquiring several new decants from Bond No. 9, I chose Island for the first test drive—and it makes an immediate impression. It opens with a vibrant burst of white ginger and water mint, delivering a crisp, slightly spicy freshness that feels like a refined coastal breeze. As it evolves, marine and green nuances—especially a subtle seaweed accord—introduce a salty, oceanic character that’s both modern and intriguingly unconventional. The dry down settles into a smooth blend of amber and sandalwood, rounding things out with a warm, creamy finish that keeps the composition balanced and distinctly wearable. I'll need a couple of more wears to decide if I should grab a full bottle, but so far...it's looking and smelling like a wise choice.
