I put on Intense Cedrat Boise today, on the back of my hands, wanting to give it a fair shot, especially because of how popular it is in the fragrance community. I’ve heard the hype, read the praise, and seen it recommended everywhere. I really wanted to like it. Right from the opening, it comes off very bold and sharp to my nose. The citrus feels loud and almost abrasive, and while I can tell it’s well-made, it just doesn’t sit comfortably on my skin. As it dries down, the woody and musky notes come through strong, but instead of smoothing out, it stays intense and a bit overwhelming for me. Performance-wise, I can’t knock it. It projects well and lasts a long time, so I completely understand why people love it. It definitely makes a statement, and if you like powerful, assertive fragrances, this one delivers. That said, no matter how much time I give it, it just doesn’t feel like me. It’s not bad by any means—it’s just not my style or my vibe. This is one of those fragrances I respect more than I enjoy wearing. At the end of the day, Intense Cedrat Boise is popular for a reason, but popularity doesn’t always equal personal connection. For me, this one is a pass, and that’s okay. Sometimes a fragrance can be great and still not be for you.

Also referred to as Turathi Homme Brown, this is a bold, luxurious, woody, and spicy fragrance that comes in a 90ml edp. I'm getting some Tuxedo vibes from this one. It is super good, even got compliment from my 2IC in work today. It's a Spicy Amber that strikes a sophisticated balance between warm spices, earthy richness, and a surprising aquatic/ozonic freshness. You really gotta get your nose on this. I actually picked this one over Oud Al Maleki? The opening is often described as rich and deep, immediately setting a luxurious tone with warm amber and earthy patchouli, but it is unexpectedly lifted by ozonic (airy) notes, preventing it from becoming too heavy. At the heart a combination of Fresh & Warm spices such as cinnamon, black pepper, or coriander are balanced out with creamy, comforting vanilla. The dry down features a resinous, sweet balsamic warmth. The inclusion of rose here is key, adding a certain elegance rather than a heavy floral scent. And the aquatics give a refined airy lift. Performance aint too bad either, your looking at 6 to 7 hours with a strong performance for almost half that time. A good solid all rounder that can be worn by the ladies too.
