Testing out a sample I received with another purchase. Just wondering if any of you have experience with this one? My initial reaction is that it's interesting, and I like it so far. But it's unlike anything else I've worn, maybe because of the floral accord.

Match #54 in the second-chance bracket is another battle of contrasting styles: Givenchy Gentleman Society versus Giorgio Armani Acqua di Giò EDT. Gentleman Society (2023, created by Karine Dubreuil-Sereni, Maïa Lernout, and Fabrice Pellegrin) is woody, floral, and slightly sweet, with sage, cardamom, vetiver, cedar, and vanilla. It's bold without being overpowering, elegant, and particularly well suited to cooler weather or a night out. Acqua di Giò (1996, created by Alberto Morillas) is almost the opposite: bright, aquatic, citrusy, and marine. It's one of the defining fresh fragrances of the past 30 years and remains incredibly easy to wear. Hot weather, the gym, running errands, or even the office—ADG is about as safe a grab as you'll find. I like both, but there's another factor working against the Armani today: I also own ADG Profondo, and I prefer it to the original. Gentleman Society doesn't have that problem in my collection. And as the hours pass, its richer, more sophisticated drydown separates the two even further. Givenchy Gentleman Society advances in the second-chance bracket, while the original Acqua di Giò is eliminated from the tournament.
