I’d heard so many good things about SWY Sandalwood, but it wasn’t available in the USA. However, when I heard about this clone coming available, I knew I had to blind buy it. Man, this is so good. It reminds me of Rayhaan Terra/Amouage Outlands without the funky saffron note. I’m not a fan of saffron as it comes off as body odor on my skin. This is a dry, woody, spicy combo that is super sexy in my opinion. This is masculine, mature, and could be worn in formal or informal settings. I get about 8-9 hours with very good projection and sillage for about 6-7 hours. It’s perfect for cold weather, and I see myself wearing this quite a bit in the fall and winter. I can imagine this really shining on a cold November afternoon walking around with a hot coffee in a park or outdoor shopping mall. The one thing that really surprised me is that I don’t pick up much of the SWY DNA until it’s deep into the drydown, almost in the skin scent stage. If I wasn't told this is part of the SWY line, I wouldn’t have guessed it is. Long story short, I’m a big fan of this one. It’ll be getting a lot of love in the cold weather.

Today is my first full day wear of my wife's thoughtful surprise gift. This is the Aurora Scent - Monument Gold. A bright, polished opening of pineapple, lychee, citrus and pink pepper gives way to a lush floral heart, before settling into a warm base of sandalwood, amber, cashmeran and patchouli. Opulent and refined without feeling overly loud." The opening spray was very citrus forward to me, but after the dry down, the florals, a bit of powder and citrus really shine through in a great way. Currently about 4+ hours in and it has a nice personal scent bubble, nothing overpowering to those around you, but they can definitely smell something. It seems perfect for a nice office day.
