Tonight my wife and I went to the House of Dubai in Rosemont to see their Xerjoff event. The place was packed and the Xerjoff representative spent some time with me going over some bottles that were exclusive to Europe but available tonight only. None of the European fragrances really got me too excited but he also showed me the Alexandria II Anniversary issue and Homme Anniversary. I thought both were really something special, and then I asked my wife what she thought. She gave me the look... You know, the look😑 accompanied by "It's not my favorite, but if you want to get it, get it." I think we all know what that means. Long story short; I left empty-handed and we went home and had take-out pizza. She asked me to put on "that fragrance that (she) liked from yesterday." So that's what I did, and she said I smelled really good. Don't get me wrong, I like this stuff. It was a blind buy at Burlington for about $30 a few months ago. Tonight was the first time I actually put it on. It's gourmandy and in the same neighborhood as the Khamrah line, but different enough. Quentin Bisch is the perfumer on this, so it's of very decent quality. It IS good and in all likelihood I'll get that Xerjoff Homme Anniversary at some point in the future. If you're into gourmandy/ vanilla fragrances, you'll probably love this stuff and, in all fairness it's much more complex than just a gourmandy fragrance. Again, it's pretty good and you'll get compliments.

Red Fever is a fragrance powerhouse—loud, bold, and opulent. The high quality of its ingredients and the expert blending are unquestionable. However, be cautious when using it, as a little goes a long way, and the sillage is immense. After over eight hours of wear, the scent remains potent. On Parfumo.com, the scent score has dropped slightly from 9.5/10 to 9.1/10. This fragrance is highly nuanced, with strong, sometimes competing, fruity, floral, and sweet notes. While the accords seem to vie for dominance, the rose absolute appears to prevail. The ambergris adds significant depth and complexity. This superb fragrance's strength is also its weakness. Its distinctiveness and potential for overuse make it challenging to find suitable occasions to wear it. I'm eager to hear feedback on how, where, and the reactions to this fragrance as it lingers in the air. Scent: 8.5/10 Sillage: 9/10 Longevity: 9/10 My overall scent score is not a 9 due to its loudness and difficulty in managing, which makes it hard to find the right occasion for it. This has nothing to do with ingredient quality.
