Massive discounts at duty free shop —> big haul
So I’m fortunate to have had an international work trip this week and thought I’d take advantage of the duty free shops on the way home. For those who don’t know how it works, when you’re travelling internationally you can buy local tax free from the duty-free shop at the airport; plus, outside the US, prices are different so sometimes you can find good deals. I stumbled into some great deals today that I couldn’t pass up. Here’s what I did: - Signed up for the World Duty Free store’s “Avolta” program for an extra 5% off at their Heathrow shops. The duty free shop had a promotion for 10% off if you pre order, but I missed the 24hr cutoff so 5% was good enough - First stop: Creed kiosk. Picked up 100ml Aventus Absolu for £289 which translates to $387. I’ve seen it a bit lower at discounters but for that price I kind of like being 100% certain the product is legit - In a surprising turn, they gave me a 20% off voucher for additional duty free purchases… so of course I had to get: - BDC 100ml Parfum for £95 which translates to $128. This is a steal for a Chanel frag you can’t usually get discounts on (the 100ml Parfum retails for $200 plus tax…) and - The new ADG Profondo EDT 100ml for £63 which translates to $85. I’m not sure this is even for sale in the US yet, but I think this is a good deal for a brand new 100ml ADG flanker
