A few of the Brothers have some questions about my methodology on my fragrance reviews so I wanted to provide clarity and share the process. There are specific smell points that I use to evaluate fragrances in order have a consistent methodology - Initial Pray (within 1 min of spraying), 15 min, 30 Min, 60, Min and Dry Down (More than 2 hours of wear). I use these specific smell points in time so that I have consistency in how I evaluate the fragrances that I am testing. I will typically do two wears of evaluation before posting my results. As a fragrance transitions, I record what I am smelling at those specific time points of the wear. The transition may occur slightly before the smell point, but I record what I smell at that specific point. Sometimes I miss a specific note that only lasts 10 Min, but that to me is fine because of how short that duration is. I try not to reference specific notes, but many times I have to in order to understand what I am smelling (I am still training my nose to detect specific notes - very hard process), and if they are a dominant part of the fragrance transition experience. I hope that this provides some clarity into the methodology i use to review and test my fragrances. Please let me know if you enjoy the reviews. If there is value in my posting reviews, then I will continue to do so.
