Curve, The Banger Back in the Day
Curve by Liz Claiborne is one of those colognes that takes me straight back in time. I wore this about 25 years ago, mainly because it was affordable, easy to find, and honestly smelled really good for the price. Back then, Curve punched above its weight. It had a fresh, slightly spicy, clean vibe that worked for school, work, or just everyday life. The performance was solid too ā a few sprays and you were good for most of the day. What really made Curve stand out at the time was the value. You didnāt need to spend much money to smell confident and put together. For a lot of us, it was a go-to scent and even a bit of a signature. I still keep a bottle on hand today, mostly for nostalgic reasons. Every time I smell it, it reminds me of a simpler time. That said, the current formulation just isnāt the same. Compared to 25 years ago, itās noticeably weaker, with much lower projection and longevity. What used to last most of the day now fades pretty quickly. Even with that drop in performance, I canāt bring myself to let it go completely. Curve will always have a place on my shelf ā not because it competes with modern fragrances, but because it represents a time when affordable, reliable scents played a big role in everyday life.
