6 Place Saint Sulpice YSL
Weather dipped back into the 40’s this morning so changed up the routine and went with this masterpiece. A spicy/leathery scent that takes some weird turns on my skin, but I love it. Just a really great scent for any occasion. Definitely a cooler weather scent, it can get intense. Only need a few sprays and can fill up a room. I would say the only negative about this is that on my skin it lasts about 4-5 hours. Which to me isn’t a big deal. You want yo smell unique and classy, but still a bit of mystery? This is your scent. Stay smelling good my brothers.

Imaginary Authors First Peach of the Season
I got home from a solid 3 days of travel to find a bunch of packages at my door. Among them, was the delivery of the new Imaginary Authors First Peach of the Season. This is my first impression after having worn it for about 6 hours now. I'll wait to give it a full rating until after I've been able to wear it a few more times. But I will say that my impressions on this one are very strong. It really pulls from deep sense memories for me. I was very hesitant on this one. I set money aside for Imaginary Authors' new releases, but after seeing the notes on the release day, I was a bit disappointed. Peach is not my favorite note, and I think it tends to lean a bit more feminine. I'm not opposed to that - three of my all time favorite fragrances are marketed for women - but this particular note, along with ylang-ylang, jasmine, and tuberose are a bit too feminine for my personal taste. I love smelling them on women, but not on myself. The fact that it's now part of the permanent collection, and not a limited edition, helped me decide to just get samples first instead of committing to the full bottle. On first spray, I get a very sugary peach cream soda. Think like those Icee drinks at the store but peach flavored. It's a little synthetic, with a sugary sweetness up front I like that punchiness, though, and after about 10 minutes, it settles a bit and the muskier notes begin to come out and calm things down. From there it gets dirty. Like a heavy, dark, ripe peach that hasn't been bit into yet. There's an earthy muskiness to it and that sugary sweetness goes to the back of the profile. It's still there, and it's still feminine, but it's taking on the scent of "Noel" getting in that last lap dance just before final call. The DJ is playing the 15 minute version of "Closer" and she is definitely into you, and not just your wallet or the $500 you already spent tipping her. And that mix of sweet peach and body sweat and booze is strong in your nose as she presses against you and looks you in the eye just before she spins around and puts her lips against your neck....
