i wanna take a risk…
so, i’ve been trying out a lot of niche scents, mainly in the more mass appealing range. i’m loving them so far, and ive tried Creed, PDM, Bond no 9 (not as much), and some other less known brands like Argos and a few others from some brothers’ suggestions. Now im up to take a big risk. This is about as niche as i’m willing to go, but i want to try out some Orto Parisi scents. That’s right. the big, the bad, the infamous Orto Parisi. i DONT feel ready, but i need to try them out!! I’ve heard performances on them all are beyond beast mode. Room filling. Not crowd pleasers. After some studying, i’ve narrowed down five different ones i’d like to try: Boccanera Brutus Bergamask Megamare Seninalis Now i am a young guy, and honestly maybe too young for this brand. I don’t mind mature scents, but this might be too primal for my taste. With that being said, i still want to try them out, see how they perform. so asking yall, where should i start first? and what order should i sample in?

Premiering Guy Laroche: Drakkar Intense EDP
Today I’m still working from home, and same as yesterday, I’m trying flankers of some iconic vintage fragrances that I never learned about until recent months. I bought the OG out of nostalgia, but as same as Cool Water, the actual formulation is unrecognizable to my olfactory memory. Drakkar Intense surprised me with a heavy green and slightly citrusy aroma at the opening, but that changed very quickly to a woody nuance coming from the coriander that neither last too long. As it dries down the lavender takes over overshadowing the rest of the accords, leaving a very floral powdery (licorice like), a bit sweet and mussy scent. Definitely mature, vintage and classic, but not bad at all.
