Managed an hour or two of shopping / skin testing after work today. Visited John Lewis, Harvey Nichols, the Luis Vuitton store, Flannels and more. Thought I'd throw some expensive stuff on my skin, see if anything sticks. - Symphony by Louis Vuitton. I took advantage of the occasion to sample all of the Extraits collection on card. Symphony was the best, so it got a wrist. Absolutely glorious well-blended citrus burst, fresh and zesty, like Afternoon Swim on crack. LAsted for a decent amount (it's been five hours now and it's still there as an intimate freshie). Testing this, at this price point, had me going full Ralph Wiggum... "Hehe, I'm in danger." - Dancing Blossom by Louis Vuitton. My second favourite from the Extrait collection. Super fresh floral scent, reminiscent of Jo Malone but with more power and poise.Lovely stuff. Dries down a little musky, and doesn't last long (but lasts longer than JM). Still love it, but not for the price. Every bottle in the collection is a banger (I didn't test Cosmic Cloud due to availability), but these are the standouts to me. Plus, the bottle tops look like someone's shot a T-1000 in the shoulder). - Le Gemme - Tygar by Bvlgari. Very breathless and arresting musky citrus scent. Definitely worth another look, as it ticks a number of my scent range boxes. Presents as almost leathery in the mid, which I absolutley cannot complain about. Does it do anything for me that other similar leathery scents don't? I'll leave that question to the philosophers. - Green Irish Tweed by Creed. Becasue why the heck wouldn't I pop on a bit of Creed before heading back to the car? My wife dislikes the "green"-liness of this fragrance, but I'm quite partial to it. Not enough to buy a bottle, but it's fresh and calming like a menthol losenge. Overall, I had fun. Will I have to buy a bottle of Symphony? It's early days yet, but I've defintely been scratched by something here. Let's hope I can sweat the need out before it consumes me.

Back to a cold day today after a heat wave in the 50s the past two days. This bad boy cuts right through and projects. I’ve always heard people say it’s a compliment monster, but I don’t have that experience. This is one I wear for my enjoyment. And when I wear it, man, I enjoy it!
