Fragrance Layering in an ad

Got a fragrancenet.com email ad about layering in three steps. I thought this was a little novel approach for an ad, but crazy if you are into fragrances and know something about layering. They did show some images rotating for the base and the top note.

Step 1 choose a base, choose something warm and long lasting.

Step 2 add a top note, something lighter and brighter

Step 3 apply base then apply top note..
