Fragrance tracking app Aromashelf? Anyone find them useful or have a recommendation?
I was initially starting to track fragrances and their categories, notes, sillage, longevity, etc. with the help of AI to create a list. Then I thought "I bet there is an app for this" since I'm working on mobile and spreadsheets/lists on Mobile are not fun. My main purpose is to explore fragrance categories across seasons so that I don't duplicate a lot and explore to find what I like (for me, mostly summer vs a short period of cool weather). Currently checking out Aromashelf, it has some interesting features and a social sharing component. Do you use any app or do you just spreadsheet it. If you have any Android app (or Apple for those Apple users out there) recommendations let me know. @Antonio O. Centeno might be an unmet need for the BOS.

@Raymond Reeves I just had Perplexity build an app (initial code) and asked it to scrape some information from RMRS to be able to test it. So, it might be something that could be done low/no code but if we scraped RMRS it should be official.... This might fit into the ethos for free to prescription level support vs Skool app. Thinking is fun.
THE "DEALBREAKER" NOTES: What ruins a fragrance for you?
We’ve all been thereβ€”you see a great bottle, the hype is real, the reviews are glowing... and then you smell that one note that makes you want to scrub it off immediately. I recently realized my #1 dealbreaker by mistake. I picked up Error 416 (Dua’s version of Bad Boy Le Parfum), and that Cannabis/Hemp note is a hard "no" for me. It doesn’t matter how well the rest of the scent is blended; if that's in there, I’m out. It’s just too literal for my taste. My runner-up is Coconut. Unless I’m literally standing on a beach in the Caribbean, I just don’t want to smell like suntan lotion all day. I want to hear from the group: What is the one note you could not care less aboutβ€”or flat-out hateβ€”in a fragrance? Is it the "pickled" Sandalwood? The "cat-pee" Blackcurrant? Overpowering Clove or Civet? Drop your fragrance "villain" in the comments!

Patchouli, I won't even buy the scent if patchouli is listed......πŸ‘ƒπŸ¦¨πŸ¦¨πŸ¦¨πŸ¦¨πŸ¦¨πŸ¦¨πŸ¦¨

@Eddy Alvarenga yeah, there are a lot of scents without patchouli. I got the citrus for sure in summer it is hot here for 9 months a year so patchouli not something I'd find would work anyway. I've got winter wear things like The One 2025 EDP, Tom Ford Noir Extreme, Burberry London, just ordered Tom Ford Oud Wood.
Scent sample essences
In wine tasting they have kits to provide reference points for tasting (think grass, musk, fennel).https://www.thewinesavant.com/products/sommelier-wine-aroma-kit-the-nosing-kit-by-the-wine-savant-master-connoisseur-smelling-kit-to-train-your-nose-80-fragrance-training-kit-for-wine-lovers-wine-game-gifts-for-holiday-him-her Which are basically essential oils if I recall. Is there anything similar in the fragrance world? For example, things like oud, vetiver, guiac wood and other components I don't have a reference point. It would help both in selecting fragrances but also as reference points for existing fragrances to help recognize the components as they are emitted.

@Paul Bartnicki appreciate that, but I'm really looking for essence reference points across many scents. The wine tasting list captures a lot but fragrances cover a lot of other uncommon items.

I bought it and I love it so far. Originally bought it blind due to RMRS listing about The One hitting multiple lists, didn't realize when I got it, there was the OG and then the 2025 version.
