🤸 Final Competition Lessons That Apply To Your Training Too
Quick heads up from me. I am currently at the last provincial competition for the boys gymnastics team this weekend, so my replies may be a little slower than usual while I am coaching and helping athletes through the event. I will be getting back to posts, comments, and videos as soon as I have free time. That said, weekends like this always remind me of something important. A competition does not just show who is talented. It shows who can trust their basics, manage their nerves, and keep showing up when things matter. And honestly, that applies to hybrid calisthenics just as much as gymnastics. 🔥 Lessons from competition that apply to your training too 1. Basics win under pressure When athletes get nervous, they do not rise to some magical level. They fall back on what they have practiced the most. That is why your basics matter so much. • Push-ups • Pull-ups • Squats • Pike work • Hollow body holds • Hanging • Handstand wall work The fancy stuff is built on boring consistency. 2. Technique usually breaks before strength A lot of misses are not because someone suddenly got weak. It is because timing, body tension, focus, or positioning broke down. That is the same in calisthenics. A handstand usually fails before your shoulders truly fail. A muscle-up often fails before you are actually out of strength. A lot of skills are lost through position first. That is why clean reps matter. 3. Confidence is built before the big moment Confidence is not something you magically feel on the day. Confidence comes from reps. It comes from knowing you have done the work. It comes from having practiced enough that your body knows what to do. That is the same reason small daily practice matters so much here. 4. Nervous system matters Competition is a reminder that being strong is not the same as performing well. You also need to be able to stay calm, breathe, focus, and execute. That is why in hybrid calisthenics I care so much about: • controlled reps

🔥 The Skill Tree App Is LIVE
It is finally back up and live for Premium members. Inside the Classroom tab, you’ll find the Skill Tree App along with the video that shows you how to set it up, download it, and start using it. (same as the one attached) This took way longer than I wanted because the app was down for about a month while I was dealing with technical issues in the background. I ended up spending a full week just getting it back to where it was before, so I am very excited to finally have it available again. Right now, access is for Premium members ONLY. The honest reason is simple. I still need your help figuring out where this should live long term because I do not fully know how much it is going to cost me as more people start using it. So for those of you in Premium right now, this is the time to jump in and test it because I do not know yet if it will stay in Premium or eventually need to move to a higher tier. I am also working in the background on making it more cost effective so I can keep building more cool stuff without making things more complicated than they need to be. For now, I would love your help with 3 things: • Try it out • Play around with it • Let me know if you find any bugs, weird issues, or anything confusing I cannot wait to see what skills you start unlocking with it and how this helps make your progress way more clear. Go explore it, have fun with it, and let me know what you think 🚀 If you are in Premium and try it today, comment below with the first skill you’re going to work toward. ⚔️ Unlock & Upgrade

📣 Quick Update
Like I mentioned before, this month is a busy one on my end. This weekend is the boys gymnastics competition, and next weekend is the women’s gymnastics competition as well 🤸‍♂️🤸‍♀️ So if my replies, feedback, or messages are a little slower than usual, that is why. I’ll still be checking in and answering things as soon as I have free time 💪 Thank you for the patience and for keeping the community moving while things are a little busier on my side. Keep training, keep posting, and keep showing up 🔥 Stay awesome 🙌
📣 Quick Update
🔥 Building the Best 1-on-1 Coaching Experience
I want to use this Behind the Scenes Sunday to talk about something I am really excited about right now. That is the 1-on-1 coaching. We are now in week 2 of testing it, and the goal is simple: To make this one of the best online coaching experiences possible. Not just another online program. Not just another plan someone sends you and disappears. Something that actually helps people get results. 💪 👀 What we are testing right now Right now, a few people are doing the 1-on-1 coaching for free as part of the testing phase. The goal this month is not to rush it. The goal is to make sure it actually works well. That means testing things like: • Communication • Video feedback • Training app setup • Program building • Accountability • Follow-up systems • How personalized it really feels I want this to feel better, more helpful, and more honest than what a lot of people expect from online coaching. Because honestly… online coaching has earned some distrust. And in many cases, that distrust makes sense. 🤔 Why I care so much about doing this right A lot of online coaching out there is expensive, vague, and low effort. You pay a huge amount. Then you get: • A plan • A check-in every week or two • Minimal feedback • Very little personalization That is not what I want to build here. I have coached athletes in person for years through: • Ninja Warrior • Gymnastics • Parkour And one of the biggest things I have learned is this: Just because someone is a great athlete does not mean they are a great coach. That is a big trap online. So if I am going to build coaching here, I want to build it around: • Clarity • Personalization • Support • Real feedback • Real implementation Information should be easy to access. Implementation is where coaching matters. ✅ What I personally loved most from great coaching When I think back to the best coaching experiences I had, one thing stands out: Homework outside of sessions. Not random busy work. Not just more volume for the sake of it.
