My Scale
You would laugh but I took my scale on the cruise. I'm showing a 2 pound loss, body fat of 17.8 and muscle of 36.4. That is the lowest body fat and the highest muscle mass my scale has ever shown. I'm going to get a body scan after 3 more training cessions and I hope that these numbers are supported!!! If they are I will feel that the cruise is proving to be a success!!!
Cruise, Just relaxing!!! LOL!!!
I've never taken the elevator so far and have found myself everyday so far taking 20 to 30 lights of stairs and I've been going to the gym 1-2 times everyday. Some times it's challenging to walk on the treadmill as the waves lift and drop the ship. I've met some interesting people on the ship and in the gym. I met one person in the gym that could barely walk with a cane but he was a beast on the rowing machine. I got on the rowing machine next to him and he was rowing at speed of 70. I usually at home row most at 40 but riding next to him I found myself rowing mostly at 70!!! He was great for setting a pace. Another time I sat down next to a young woman rowing between 70 and 100 and she set the pace I rowed mostly 70. After she got off I decided to try and get up to the fastest speed that I could. I could not believe it but I managed to get up to a speed 2 times of 180 but I could not hold that rate for more than a few seconds and dropped back down to a speed of 70. I was sad that there was no pull up bar in the gym. One day I walked in and there was a young man doing sets of pull ups. On the rack for doing squats he had adjusted the bar to the top of it's range so that he could do pull ups and rest between sets. While he was resting I ask if I could try. I'm up to 1.5 pull ups and 1.5 chin ups. Hopefully I will hit 2 before long!!! The second day I noticed that my blood pressure was up so I decided to skip the bacon and sausage and the next day this morning I took my blood pressure and it was back down. 129/73 with a heart rate of 55.
Spiderman Wall challenge
I had to try this crazy Spiderman Wall challenge the moment I saw it. I even changed it Spiderman friendly colours! I don't think I am as good as the others doing the challenge, but it was the first one that I instinctively felt like trying. Here is one of the instagram reels that I came across it: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZz_5jUMJVJ/ , I cannot figure who posted it originally. Does anyone else want to try this out?

Looks great!!! Thanks for the reminder on how to walk the wall. I'm wondering how close I can move my hands to the wall and will try when I get home!!!
1st day on my relaxing Cruise!!!
When I first arrived I was locked out of my room while they were preparing it. I had a backpack weighting 19 pounds with important items in case they took a while for them to deliver my suitcase to my room. I decided while waiting to eat and try the food. Probably ate to much but was glad that I felt that the food and deserts were not going to be a temptation. I had a couple of hours before my room was going to be ready so I decided to explore the ship with my 19 pound back pack. Never took the elevator but when up and down the stairs between 20 to 30 flights of stairs. After I finally got in my room I left my back pack and went to the gym and did 15 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the rower. As I finished the personal trainer came up to me and told me he was ready for me now. We spent over an hour on an upper body workout. For each exercise we did 4 sets started with a low weight and did high reps and each set a heavier weight with few reps. Afterwards I went to my room and showered and then made a few more trips from my room and ate a little more and of course a few more fights of stairs. I went back to my room and laid down on the bed to watch some tv and fell asleep. Today I felt very stiff and achy. I took my blood pressure and it was normal. I weighted and it looked like I lost close to 2 pounds. Today I'm just going to relax most of the day. I plan on doing cardio before breakfast and then roaming the ship, walking the decks and running a lap or 2 and maybe trying the pool and hot tub today and some time on the internet. Hope you all are having a great day!!!

@Brandon Beauchesne-Hebert Today is going to be a much more lazy day. Today I'm going to do rower and treadmill morning and night before going to bed.

@Brandon Beauchesne-Hebert The Princes Group had a teaser rate for one training session plus a body scan for $80 when the rate I've seen in past cruises I did 6 years ago was always $120 plus for only training. He told me that he would give me 3 more cessions at the same rate if I would commit to 3 cessions. He was a great trainer and really pushed me hard so I found it hard to resist. He said my body scan was great and that I was the exception for anyone my age. I can not help thinking that he was just saying that to make a sale but no matter what over the years this has been my normal.

Getting caught up on paper work and planting dead hedge plants that died during the freeze a couple of weeks ago before leaving for my cruise.
