Skills day
I worked different skills today: on the rings, L-sits, shoulderstands... but also wanted to try new things! Can't have a skills day without trying new things😁 I'm always amazed when @Karyn Ainsworth does her hand balances so I wanted to see what I could attempt... Since I can do side Crow I wanted to challenge that and try the Scissor legs side Crow... hey I managed to get my legs kind of extended. I'll take that cause arm balances are extremely hard! I've never tried the forearm headstand, well today was the day. I had to look up videos cause I had no clue how to set up! And then straight arm bridge, I was testing to see how far I could take it And a 10 seconds L-sit, just to finish my workout....I'm done now! 😅

@Karyn Ainsworth I don't do a lot of headstands, I find it hurts my neck and head but once I figured out the position it was pretty stable and I think softer on the neck and head also It was a lot of different and hard movements today and i have even more respect to all those that do hand balancing 😊

Deload week question ❓
After seeing the post on minimalist training, I realized it would be good fur me to do a deload week next @Brandon Beauchesne-Hebert Can you explain more on how to properly do a deload week? I have lots of questions and I'm probably overthinking it 😂 How often should we do a deload? How to know if we do enough or not enough? I don't think I've ever done a proper deload! 🎉🎉🎉EMOM CHIN UPS!🎉🎉🎉 I'm on a roll this week😂 After my smaller upper body, I tried EMOM chin ups for the first time I do more chin ups then pull ups so I was aiming for a higher number I did a total of 21 chin ups in 10 minutes🎉 It was: 3-3-2-2-2-2-2-2-1-2 The 9th minutes i went to 1 cause I felt I wasn't going as high as I should and I wanted to finish strong at the 10th. I did 2 but I think I could've squeezed in a 3rd 💪 Video 1 is minute 1 Video 2 is minute 10

Ring dips
I don't have dip bars at home so I need to learn to do dips on my rings properly. I'm using a band as a progression cause I'm not strong enough to do it without it and have the proper technique This is not a movement I'm used to plus it's not stable on the rings but I want to learn to do it the right way....😁 I'm sending attempt 1 and 2, can I get feedback please??

@Brandon Beauchesne-Hebert awesome, thank you! 😊 I'll keep working at it, it's really new to me doing dips so I'm happy I wasn't to far off! Rings are so much more challenging, I still have lots to learn with them 💪

Wednesday- Lower body
Back to the weights for legs, had to make some adjustments for squats because I can’t hold the bar yet so adapted to Zercher squats, which actually felt pretty solid considering. Still working on getting more depth in the dragon squat. Also took a video of the banded dragon flags. I’m doing these because I’m having trouble gripping with the finger still in the splint. Thursday-Upper body
More modifications required for my second upper body session of the week but I feel like I’m back in the groove now at least. I can still do dips no problem and I did cable pulldowns instead of lat pulldowns as I wasn’t able to find the right grip with the splint on. I also did archer pull-ups on a bench so that I didn’t have to lay my hand flat. Full session: Dips Cable pulldowns Machine shoulder press Machine rows Archer pushups Banded lateral raises Ab wheel rollout

Nice workout! Awesome that you're doing much better💪 You go so low on your dips😁 I do cable pulldowns with resistance bands, it's always a bit awkward!
