I tried something new ✨️ today...
In the morning, before breakfast time, I went outside in the garden and looked at the sky and tried to wake up my system deeply and it felt so good!!! It might not sound like a major step, but for me it feels like the built up for a series of domino blocks!

Yes! Next time take a toe and put it in the grass, lol. Naw, but for real, I used to run in the grass with no shoes on and it would give me so much energy. So proud of you for taking that step. Fresh light for us is everything!

@Renee Kers You know they say that you can even let your dog run and immediately after pet your dog and get energy from them as well.
3 weeks of cold shower mornings!
It works - thank you so much @Jim Ebbelaar ) in the mornings I start with a glass of water with electrolytes (disgusting but doable- I never drink enough water), sitting out in my garden for the light, forgoing my usual coffee), then do 5-15 mins exercise (whatever I feel like) or walk or occasionally if pushed just a plank for as long as possible up to 1min 45 secs so far. Then hot shower followed by 90 secs to 2 mins cold. Not that cold at this time of year - might be a lot harder in December! I’m laughing and smiling while in the cold - it’s somehow hilariously funny to me. Gives me such a buzz. Then let my body get warm naturally before grabbing a towel. I’m also taking a lions mane supplement in the morning (for brain function) and magnesium glycinate at night an hour before bed. It’s honestly changed my life. I don’t want to go back to how I was feeling. I think I’ve just saved my business- I teach baby signing and my classes haven’t been this full in years because I am sitting down at my desk and doing the admin, getting back to people quickly and closing enquiries into sales! Waking up naturally now just before my alarm at 7. The thing I’m not completely consistent with is getting to bed at the same time. I think I might need to delete my Netflix account because there’s some REALLY GOOD stuff on there! 🤣 I’ve gone past midnight on a few occasions but nothing like how late I used to go to bed. And woke up feeling terrible and having to have afternoon naps after my classes. Now I’m working instead of napping! The biggest game changer for me must be the cold shower- don’t skip this one. Second is movement/exercise and of course both these help sleep!! Good luck everyone and thank you Jim!! 💪🥶🚿😴😃❤️

Let's go! I love it!
Who, me?
How dare Jim's Twin call me out for over-researching and suggest I set a time limit for exploring options and set parameters in advance for making a decision? 😂😂😂 What is this sorcery you speak of??

I swear I feel like I am with family now. For so long, I felt so misunderstood. 😮‍💨 The pain of feeling weird all my life, lol. Thanks to everyone for sharing their life and experiences. You make my days brighter.
😏Leaderboards?
I always look at a community's leaderboard to see how active the community and when I tell you, this community is one of the most active....I'm like yeah. Leave it up to the ADHD group 😂 We don't play about what we care about. It gets all our time and attention and in this case (as it should) 🥰

@Deb Brouwer Yes, you're exactly right. But, more specifically, I was referencing the fact that we lock in to whatever it is we enjoy. We enjoy this community so much, we comment, we engage, and it becomes our hyperfocus. So, when I saw the leaderboard, I saw hyperfocus, lol. We know we can lock in!

I'm new here and I believe this is my first post, so I will introduce myself later. (the way I just ran off away from my point 😂) Anyway, I once had a job at a factory where it was so simple. All I had to do was scan a piece of paper, scan a product and then scan another piece of paper to update it. A task that simple really makes me run off into my thoughts and I literally start forgetting that I'm at work and will drift into all kinds of dimensions, lol. If you don't update it, it will cancel out the order and the next crew will catch it and it will have to be sent all the way back to you so you can update it. Now, mind you, this is time sensitive because you are dealing with priority mail. So, after a few times of messing up because of the drifting, I decided to count the dings. Every time you scan, it will ding. So, I made it like a song. (ding, ding, ding) That way, I could make sure even though I may drift, I could hear the dings in the background. And if the song doesn't play right in my head, I would catch it. Again, I am new here and I'm sure there are so many tips and tricks. Can't wait to here yours!

@Linda T The bad thing is when people either don’t believe ADHD is real or they think you can control it and get mad at you 😭
