In my introduction post, I shared an example of how I’ve been sitting on a bathroom renovation for a long while (I’ve got most of the supplies/materials and the time) but simply wasn’t taking action. Last week I found a good price on a stone slab for my new countertop, and the fabricator/installer turned it around so much faster than I anticipated, so I was forced to AT LEAST remove my old backsplash and countertop so he could install the new one. That compelled action. I had some frustrating discoveries yesterday so was discouraged by my lack of progress. After our video this morning (for me), I decided to work on the questions right away (but waited till evening to allow for further reflection). The last thing I ever want to do is remove tile from floors or walls, so I was tempted to not take action on the bathroom, but I decided to “take the pain upfront.” As a result, I removed most of the floor tile and prepped to remove the window. There’s no turning back now!
PS. The first picture is a great illustration of why removing tile is the last thing I ever want to do. :)
