Foundational Basics
We’re talking about the importance of having a solid routine this week as we approach a new season, but the fact is that it’s incredibly difficult to establish a routine when you’re doing things that are outside of your capacity. “You can only master something at the level of your capacity for it.” That’s why it’s important to get back to your foundational basics if you’ve been in what you consider an “off” season for the last couple of months. “Off” seasons vary for everyone—they look different for all of us—so it’s important to consider what your foundational basics are. It’s important to consider your capacity. There’s no need to jump into everything out there when you’ve been slacking on the basics. In fact, I encourage you to consider one thing you can do this week. What’s one thing you have the capacity for right now? Once you decide on what that is, add it into your schedule at a frequency that makes the most sense for you. Next week, you may be ready to tackle something new. This is how you build a solid routine, friends. Routines often fail because we try “everything” at once. We quickly realize it’s too much, and we give up altogether. Slowly building your routine allows you to exactly pinpoint “when it becomes too much” and tweak your routine as needed. 💯 TAKING ACTION: ✅ What is one thing you have the capacity for right now? Is it sustainable on a weekly basis for the next few months?

I got this app free and you set simple goals and it reminds you and keeps up with the amount of days…. I set my first goal for 21 days…. So my house gets crazy which drives me insane and makes me feel out of order…. And I feel like I spend all weekend cleaning…. So my goal is to do a 10 minute clean up daily. And I make the girls help. We started last night. And I tell myself even if I fail at everything else I can do this daily .
Adrenal Support Foods 🥘
Before we get into this week’s material, it’s important to know what your adrenals do and how they affect your health & wellness journey. ⬇️ In simple terms, your adrenal glands are small glands that sit right above your kidneys. They’re responsible for producing several hormones (including cortisol) that play a key role in some of your important body functions. Some of these functions include: ✅ regulating blood sugar ✅ reducing inflammation ✅ regulating metabolism ✅ regulating mood and stress You can probably see how this all ties into our overall theme this month. We’re going to discuss why summer is a great time to focus on adrenal health in the coming days. We won’t get too deep in the weeds, but rather keep the information simple and useful. The goal is for you to live a lifestyle that supports your overall health! Feel free to read more in the article below and check out some of the foods that affect adrenal health. You’ll find foods that come from whole-food sources. Not a coincidence, friends…😉 The Best and Worst Foods for Your Adrenal System TAKING ACTION: ✅ Have you noticed a change in your energy levels this summer? Are you eating more seasonal produce and taking advantage of the longer days?

Adrenal Health!
All month long, we’ve learned about different things you can focus on in the summer to optimize your overall health. As you’ve learned, the seasons matter when it comes to improving your health. I wanted to discuss these things early in the summer so you can continue working on them over the next couple of months. So far, we’ve learned that summer is a great time to focus on the following: ☀️ inflammation ☀️ expansion (trying new things, foods, outdoor activities, etc.) ☀️ healthy blood glucose/sugar All of these things are affected (both positively and negatively) by the warmer months, longer days, etc. I saved the last seasonal/summertime topic – adrenal health – for now because, in case it isn’t obvious, it’s about to get HOT, and heat can play a big role in your overall energy level, etc. Don’t worry, we’re going to keep it simple and digestible this week, and I know you’re going to find this week’s education interesting and useful! Get ready for another great week, friends! Let’s go! 🔥 ⭐️ Summertime adrenal health tip: Hydrate with electrolyte water, as adrenal glands rely on electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium to function properly. I’ve linked my favorite electrolyte supplement below! ⬇️ Just Ingredients 👉 This week’s material isn’t intended as medical advice. Please talk with your doctor if you’re concerned about your adrenal health. TAKING ACTION: ✅ Comment READY if you’re committed to crushing it this week! Share one small goal you have for the week!

Just ordered some. My kids will love this for their water. It’s hard to get them to drink plain water
Expansive with produce!
It’s no secret that there are different seasons throughout the year, and we learned last week that honoring how your brain and body respond to seasonal differences can help you optimize your overall health. Tuning into the seasons and their benefits can change your health for the better. 💯 One way to experience seasonal benefits is to eat fruits and vegetables that are in season. When you choose produce that’s in season, it’s allowed to stay on the tree, plant, or vine longer, which helps salvage most of its nutrients. Conversely, when you choose foods that aren’t in season, they have to be harvested before they’ve peaked, robbing them of healthy nutrients your body needs. ⭐️ Want to get expansive this summer? Try some new seasonal fruits and vegetables! Or try growing your own! Some good seasonal options include bell peppers, blackberries, peaches, summer squash, and strawberries! TAKING ACTION: ✅ What’s your favorite summer fruit and/or vegetable? Share with us below! ✅ How are you moving your body today? ✅ See comments for a graphic on in-season produce!

Renewed Energy
“When the sun is shining, I can do anything; no mountain is too high, and no trouble is too difficult to overcome.” ~Wilma Rudolph Last week, we began our June education 🚀, and I also proposed the idea that there are things we need to focus on during each season for optimal overall health. As I mentioned, summertime is a season of expansion, energy, and play! Because of the warmer months, it’s a great time to focus on inflammation, adrenal health, outdoor play, vitamin D, and skin health, to name a few! We began learning about inflammation last week, and I hope the education was enlightening and fresh for you. Who knew inflammation often peaks in the summertime?! We’re going to talk more about the science behind summertime and overall health, but this week, we’re going to lighten the mood a little and discuss why warmer days are great for personal expansion – why it’s a good time for personal growth regarding your mindset and your physical health. It’s time to soak in the extra hours of daylight/sunlight and open your minds and hearts to renewed health! ☀️ TAKING ACTION: ✅ Comment SUMMER below if you’re feeling excited about renewed energy and growth over the next couple of months!
