It’s no secret that there are different seasons throughout the year, and we learned last week that honoring how your brain and body respond to seasonal differences can help you optimize your overall health. Tuning into the seasons and their benefits can change your health for the better. 💯
One way to experience seasonal benefits is to eat fruits and vegetables that are in season. When you choose produce that’s in season, it’s allowed to stay on the tree, plant, or vine longer, which helps salvage most of its nutrients. Conversely, when you choose foods that aren’t in season, they have to be harvested before they’ve peaked, robbing them of healthy nutrients your body needs.
⭐️ Want to get expansive this summer? Try some new seasonal fruits and vegetables! Or try growing your own! Some good seasonal options include bell peppers, blackberries, peaches, summer squash, and strawberries!
