Been a While
Hi All, It has been while since I posted., work has been super hectic. It was hard having to travel for work. However, I have managed to keep up on my food choices though 95% and taking the whole food way. It crazy how the reset effects you, normally in high stress my go too was chocolate. Now it refined to the dates and 100% or just an apple. My gym time is also improved with heavier sessions all round. Thanks Mark for helping to get to this point.

Family trip to London this weekend. Stayed healthy and focused. Managed nearly 20k streps yesterday and today got off to a great start. First real work trip coming up next week, so going to take some thinking about.

This breakfast habit kills fat burning
Most people start their day with cereal, toast, or a smoothie. It feels healthy. It feels quick. It feels like fuel. But it’s the fastest way to shut down fat burning. 🤓 A 2015 study in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed that eating a high-sugar breakfast spikes blood glucose by up to 300% more than a protein-based one. When that happens, insulin floods your system. And once insulin is high, fat burning is switched off. Think of your metabolism like a fireplace. Protein and fibre are the slow-burning logs that keep the fire going steady. Sugar is the crumpled newspaper. It flares up fast, then dies out, leaving the fire weak. That’s why you feel hungry again an hour later. And why fat loss stalls even if you’re training. 💡 Thrive Tip: Flip your breakfast. Swap cereal or toast for 4 eggs, Greek yoghurt, or a protein shake with nuts and seeds. You’ll stay fuller for longer, keep energy stable, and keep fat burning switched on. Your first meal sets the tone for the whole day. Get it right, and fat loss stops feeling like a fight.

I have found that doing something with eggs etc does not take that much more time than cereal with fruit.

@Mark Bryce prep helps a lot as you say.
Gosh! It’s day 19
So…… I’ve been walking around 😬instead of taking the bus. Just up to a mile - but I would never have contemplated doing that before this challenge. Been to the gym.. but not as much as last week, unfortunately fighting to get rid of my old mental self and keep the new me… New me is pushing thru though! I think so much more about what I eat. I’ve kept meat and caffeine free…Struggled with my water off late but only because of the long bus journey to and from the gym. Yesterday 17k steps, completed both dumbbell & core exercises, 20mins on Xtrainer and 30lengths in the pool. Felt bloody awesome! Hubby bought me these disposable 4oz containers… brilliant for snacks and just measuring out …see my chickpea salad and chia pudding. I also had a go at Mark’s lentil salad (tasted great! Definitely doing it again). Now onto the final stage of this challenge 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

Nailing it Glenda. Keep going.
Day 18 Done
Things are starting roll now. Up, run, breakfast, work, gym, tea, food prep and now sleep. One of the guys said he hadn’t seen me each so much as I have over the past days. Even the gym feels better, did a back workout yesterday. Previously I would down a strong coffee or pre workout as I felt I needed these to go heavy. Smashed through yesterday increasing the weight well over my previous.
