@Lon Chaneyfield I like it; depiction of main note accords are spot on, not too loud but there! This is probably my second wear this fall/winter. Longevity is great, I get 10+ hours with 2 sprays on top of Jergens lotion. I’ve never smelled Rare Carbon and didn’t know it was in this space.
Sweet Sandalwood and Iris- Prada L'Homme Intense
This is another one in my collection that features Iris prominently, which some people like and some people don't. I'm definitely in the former and so this one blends Iris with a good deal of sandalwood another note I also really enjoy. This one feels safe enough for the office. If you don't spray too much, could probably work as a date night fragrance, although it's a tiny bit loud, and exudes Elegance refinement elegance and refinement and gentlemanly attention to the details. Longevity is quite good with at least 8 hours and still quite noticeable to me every time I sniffed. Iris is the top note Sandalwood and Tonka and Amber in the base makes this quite sweet but the Iris lingers making it less vanillic more Sandalwood. I personally don't get a lot of leather and patchouli forward notes, but they add depth and darkness to the mix and likely help the Iris note push. Maybe the Iris Accord is the blend of all three as this one is less powdery ( still a bit powdery) than say Dior Homme Intense. Might not be the most youthful scent profile, but I am hardly all that youthful myself - still young at heart I suppose. It's definitely somewhat unique in my collection and definitely different than a lot of what's coming out today, so definitely worth getting your nose on if you've never smelled it. Hope everyone has a wonderful day/week!

l picked mine up a few months ago, LOVE it and so does my wife! I also didn’t know it was discontinued… will definitely get a backup bottle and also see if I can find the original as well for a more mass appealing office scent.
Uomo Salvatore Ferragamo Signature
I was reading a post by @Henry Clay a few days ago about going through and wearing some samples this month so I decided to jump on the train. I have a ton of them that have been sent over by @Jamal Moore @George Hernandez @Raul Olveda @Mark DiCiero @David Myers and a couple of other brothers. There’s one or two that aren’t with us anymore for whatever reason. I decided to start with Ferragamo Signature today. Salvatore Ferragamo Signature is a smooth, and masculine fragrance with a very clean and confident vibe to it. It opens very fresh with citruses and pink pepper. I’m also getting some of the cinnamon here. You’re also able to start picking up on the cypress after a few minutes. As it starts to settle down you get a very smooth and almost creamy leather and hints of coffee also. The dry down is soft and I get the woods and tonka bean. Overall, it’s a pretty good scent, it’s versatile, and it’s easy to wear. I feel like it’s a great choice for work, casual evenings, or anytime you want a classy, understated scent I would say the longevity is around 5-6 and it pushes out pretty good for the first hour or so. The price is also good at around $38 for a 100ml I don’t think you can go wrong with this. It’s a budget fragrance that I would definitely recommend.

Also in my collection and have worn it on many occasions, 👍🏽. I’ve also seen quite a bit of references on the regular Uomo as well, although it’s said to have a scent profile that’s more so on the sweeter side.
SOTD: Gentleman Boisée edp by Givenchy 02/02/2026
Released in 2020 as a standout flanker in the iconic Gentleman line, Givenchy Gentleman Boisée is a masterclass in modern, woody sophistication from the nose of the legendary Olivier Crespwhom not only worked for many of the European designer house, but has also worked with Middle Eastern Houses and done some Niche work too. While other entries in the series (like the EDP or Reserve Privée) lean heavily into powdery iris or boozy notes, Boisée strikes a unique balance between earthy & elegant Think spicey florals mixed with Wood. Its the Iris that stands out wrapped on an almost burning wood to create an amazing contrast. Boisée (French for "wooded") lives up to its name, but it is far from a simple forest scent. It is a Woody Floral Spicy fragrance that feels velvety and smooth rather than sharp. With top notes of Black Pepper, Coriander & Geranium, the opening is a dry, spicy burst. It’s slightly peppery but softened by the geranium, which keeps it from being too aggressive. At its heart, Iris (Orris), Cacao Pod & Cedarwood. This is the soul of the fragrance. That signature Givenchy iris provides a lipstick or powdery texture, but here it is mixed with a dry, bitter cacao. It doesn’t smell like a chocolate bar; it smells more like high-end, unsweetened cocoa powder. Finally the base contains notes of Sandalwood, Burning Wood & Patchouli. The dry down is where the "burning wood" comes in. It provides a subtle, smoky warmth that feels incredibly cozy, and it's grounded by the creaminess of the sandalwood. Despite its beauty, there is a flaw with many of these edp's from Givinchey. They are a lot more restrained than some of their counterparts. Much like the Replica range from Maison Margeila, I sometimes wonder might this have been done on purpose? It beggers belief as too why, but perhaps it's what the perfumer intended? At best you will get 5, maybe 6 hrs on skin before it fades into a skin scent. It won't fill a room. It creates a "scent bubble" about arm's length, making it very safe for the office or close-up dates. Definitely an intimate scent, perfect for a date night. It's there to be discovered, not announced. Definitely a winter scent, but enjoyable none the less.

Nice review and scent breakdown; I too share your take on the line as a whole, perhaps the reason for the label “Gentlemen”. Boisée was my intro to the line and eventually led to me acquiring Privee and Gentleman Eau de Parfum. I tend to wear them in the afternoon/evening due to 5-6 hour longevity.
