27 String guitar, played by the man who built it
here is my friend Keith Medley playing a 27 string guitar that he built. . Beautiful and mind blowing. He was an engineer at Gibson in Nashville.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lo5mvTfYSQY&list=RDsKbrycmEGjU&index=2

@Kevin Drake Hello 👋 how are you doing?I saw in your bio that you had spinal cord surgery I’m really sorry to hear that. That must’ve been incredibly tough. How have you been coping lately? I hope recovery is going as smoothly as possible. Are you feeling any closer to being able to play guitar again?

@Kevin Drake Thank you for sharing all of that I can only imagine how tough this journey has been for you. I’m truly sorry to hear about the challenges you've faced, but it’s inspiring to see your strength, gratitude, and determination to play again no matter what. Your outlook is powerful and uplifting. Wishing you a full recovery, continued healing, and peace for you and your family through it all.
This Labor Day, A Thank You to Our Founding Members 🙏🎸
Hey everyone 👋 On this Labor Day, we want to pause and recognize the hard work, dedication, and perseverance it takes to build something meaningful. That applies not only to us as a small family-owned company, but to you, our community, for being here and helping us shape Omni Guitars from the ground up. 💪 First off, I just want to say thank you! Omni Guitars is still here, alive and well, and that’s because of you, our founding members. This past year has been an amazing journey full of growth, lessons, and a few setbacks along the way. We’ve learned so much about what it takes to run a community-driven brand like this, and while we’ve made mistakes, we’re committed to making things better moving forward. 🙏 Here’s the truth: running a group and business like this costs real money. Shipping, product development, giveaways, keeping the lights on… it all adds up. If we could give away a free guitar or pedal every day, trust me, we would 🎸and have aspirations to make that happen. But the reality is if we did that, we’d go broke very quickly. That’s the tough balance we’ve been working to figure out. At the end of the day, we’re a small family-owned company doing this out of love for the guitar ❤️, not money. We’ve done our best to give out free or heavily discounted gear, like the free strings we send out even though they cost us every single month, because we believe in making music more accessible. But we also need to find a way to sustain this so it lasts for the long haul. Right now, we’re in a regrouping phase. We’ve got some exciting projects in the works 🚀, but they take time (and money 😅). One thing we’ve realized is that we need to do a better job of sharing our vision with you. Omni means “all” or “every,” and that’s the heart of this brand: to build something where everyone feels they belong and their voice matters. This community was never meant to just be about “what’s in it for me?” It’s about what we can do together to make a bigger impact. Our long-term vision is to launch a nonprofit to give guitars and lessons to military veterans, first responders, kids, and anyone battling mental health challenges. 💪 Music has the power to heal, break down walls, and carry people through dark times. That’s the bigger picture. 🌍✨

@Gerry Mattei how’s things been going on your end lately?
Copper foil
Does anyone dig into their guitars and add copper foil under the electronics to help with interference? Is it worth it? Are there downsides? Seems like a pretty inexpensive modification, but I’ve never done it….yet.

@Tommy Thompson hello 👋
Guitar addiction
Does anyone else suffer from buying guitars when they are way underpriced? I know I have enough guitars, but it’s so hard to turn down a super deal. Please tell me I’m not alone. Lately I’ve made a promise to myself that for every guitar I buy, I have to sell one. My latest buy, an Ibanez Acoustic Electric on FB Marketplace for $50. In return I sold my prized Gretsch for $450.
