Posting and Discussion Announcement!
Hey Gang! I made the decision to open up the ability to post inside the group to any day of the week, instead of just Friday. I would like to acknowledge @William Gentry who is our new group admin for coming up with the idea of adding more discussion topics/categories. Here are the new categories that you can choose from when writing a post. Its important that you select the appropriate one so that its easier to search for posts in the feed. * General Discussion (already available) - anything not covered by another topic * Giveaways (already available, limited to admin & moderators only) * Announcements (limited to admin & moderators Only) * Guitar Maintenance, Upgrade, & Repair (advice, instructional videos, etc.) * Show & Tell (Show off your guitars, pedalboards, unboxing new gear, videos of you playing, etc.) * Jam Sessions (renamed Jam Session Friday -- requests for meet ups or jam sessions, videos of you/your band practicing or live shows, etc.) * Tips, Tricks, & Techniques (picking, scales, soloing, arpeggios, string skipping, practice routines, etc.) * Reviews (anything that you’ve tried — good or bad — courses, books, videos, YouTube channels, guitars, gear, accessories, offbeat products, etc.) * FAQs (frequently asked questions and classroom guidelines, dos and don'ts) We just ask that you continue to follow the community guidelines and not post anything that goes against them. Our community is all about helping each other, discovering amazing products, and enjoying exclusive rewards. Here’s what to expect and how to make the most out of being here: 📜 Community Guidelines: 1. Be Kind & Respectful – We’re all here to learn and grow. Be kind, courteous, and supportive of others! 2. Stay on Topic – Keep posts and comments related to guitar gear, insights, reviews, and lessons. This keeps our community focused and valuable for everyone. 3. No Self-Promotion – Let’s keep the focus on the guitar marketplace! Any promotions or advertising outside of Omni Guitar products won’t be allowed, including Facebook Links 4. Absolutely NO Engagement Farming - This is empty content meant to boost posts and get likes. This can also be done by flooding posts with an abundance of comments to gain likes. Excessive comments will be flagged by our Marketing department going forward and your account may be closed without warning. Engagement farming makes the community frustrating for all. Don't be that person. 5. This is not LinkedIn - Please do not post as a "Thought Leader" (expert) in topics. 6. Be positive, Don't be annoying, and make an effort!
