What's On The Schedule This Week?
Hey MRC Crew! Well, Super Bowl is done, we are 2 weeks into February, the days are getting longer which means that we are getting closer to SPRING! Here's what's on the schedule this week Movement Restoration Lab — Tomorrow 🕕 6:00–6:30 PM EST Topic:The Return-to-Athlete RoadmapRebuilding confidence, strength, and consistency for real life This session isn’t about exercises or fixes. It’s about the space many people are left in after pain, injury, or being told they’re “good to go” — but still don’t fully trust their body yet. We’ll talk about: - Why confidence often disappears before strength - Why being pain-free isn’t the same as feeling prepared - What actually helps people feel capable again in real life This conversation will lead us into the upcoming live webinar: Why Your Body Feels Broken After 40 — and What to Do About It 📅 February 20, 2026 @ 6:00 PM EST If you’ve been trying to stay athletic, capable, and engaged in real life , without guessing or holding back this webinar will help you understand how.

@Jon Cooke Hmmm... I know this will sound crazy but for some people movement doesn't leave them with more energy. For me the more challenging the movement the more my brain has to orientate around it and that will often will result in more energy. When I say more challenging it could be something new, progression of the movement, more reps, pausing in a challenging portion of the movement for a time period and or more external load.
Wins This Week! 2-2-2026
Hey MRC Crew! It's Friday so it's time to celebrate our wins for the week! Remember no win is too small, celebrating wins professionally and personally is important. Personal: - Had good workout week- hit a PR on incline bench 3x15@80 - Had a good week at Jiu Jitsu. Feels like my stand up wrestling game is making progress - Melissa and I are going to see the Minnesota Orchestra perform Pink Floyd tonight Professional - We made updates to both the MRC & Collective Classrooms (thanks @MarKesha Smith) - We brought on a new member to The Collective. - @Jerry Rivera has a top secret mission he is on. If he can accomplish it, it will be a massive upgrade for The Collective 🥸 🤫 - @Sonia Berglund & I had a great chat this week during the Restoration Lab Please share your wins in the comments below! We would love to hear your wins from this week!

@Russell Smith getting off overnights has to be rough. I worked nights for a year & man it was tough to get back on a "normal" schedule afterwards for a while.

@Jamie Sparling Nice work! Small victories lead into bigger ones!
Glad to be here
Hey everyone 👋🏽 I’ve been working on rebuilding my body after some back and sciatic issues, and focusing on strength has made a big difference. I’m a LTL driver, so staying mobile and consistent matters. I joined The Forge to keep building a solid foundation and stay on track long-term. Looking forward to being here.

Wins for the week
My brother and I have been in the process of finding an assisted living near me-we found one this week that will take her. What a process! I noticed how much stronger my I am going up hills in my daily walks. I’ve started doing split squats without the assistance of poles.

Yeah, assisted living is definitely a big task to get started. Nice work on your progress with your SS! That's such a great feeling, which also probably is related to you feeling stronger on your walks as well.
