Most people over 40 treat their bodies like a high-end car they refuse to service until the engine light stays on. One of our RBLD Collective members asked me what she could do on Mondays when she’s buried in meetings and doesn't have a second to breathe. She needed a way to stay sharp without losing an hour of her day to a gym trip. Ask and ye shall receive. I put together a foot to head sequence that gets you out of the chair and back to work feeling human again. It takes 5, 10, or 15 minutes depending on what your calendar looks like. The problem is the "Just Rest" trap. We’ve been told that if we’re stiff from sitting at a desk, the fix is to just sit some more on the couch later. But that’s how you lose your edge. You aren’t getting "old" you’re just becoming stagnant because you’ve stopped maintaining the basic range of motion you need to stay in the game. If you let a desk chair dictate how you feel, you're going to find yourself watching from the sidelines while everyone else stays active. It doesn’t need to be a massive overhaul. Tomorrow night at 7pm EST, we’re pausing the physical training to look at the System behind how you move. This is the "Big Picture" talk. We’re going to connect the dots between the specific movements we do in our weekly Restoration Lab (our practical, "how-to" sessions) and the results you want in your daily life—whether that’s hiking, lifting, or just being able to play with your kids without a "flare-up" the next day. Here is what we are covering: - The Loop: Why smart people get stuck in the cycle of Hurt → Back Off → Try Again → Flare Up. - The "Discipline" Trap: why "trying harder" is actually keeping you injured and how to move past the willpower phase. - Capacity vs. Pain: Why chasing "pain relief" is a dead end, and why we focus on building Capacity instead. - The Reframe: Understanding that your body isn't "failing" or betraying you—it’s just protecting you based on the information it has. This workshop is about ending the "negotiation" you have with your body every morning.
