New joiner here.. hope to add value where i can! :)
I'm Fabian and I'm from Malaysia. If you've not heard of the country, it's located right in between Thailand and Singapore. :) my current goal is to get my body fat percentage under 15% (currently at 17% based on my last InBody scan). why? cause i want a six pack. apart from it being cool, it's just a proof to myself that i can be disciplined and consistent in at least 1 area of my life. 38 year old dad of 2, hence trying to squeeze in where i can. at the same time, i am also working towards getting stronger so that my 70 year old self can wash my own a** when taking a dump. a goal that has a slightly more concrete timeline is I am also working towards my first Half Marathon in July 18 2026 with a target to complete under 2 hr 30 mins (my last run was 12km in 1hr 20 mins), lots to work on. :D if on a death row, my last meal would be Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng (translated from Malay would be Oily Rice with Fried Chicken...LOL) ! If any of you have been to Malaysia, you'll know what I am talking about.

Out of my comfort zone for good reasons
I spent my life trying to fit in a mold. Trying to please people around me (not really a bad thing) but sometimes going against my own will and feelings doing so. When I started this program last year I was feed up with what I was doing and was ready for an all or nothing way out. I signed up for the first 6 months and told my husband after. I still remember how he told me “I’m glad you didn’t tell me before cause I would have said no”!!! It was what I needed to do. I needed it and I went right in doing everything that was asked of me. When things felt easier then I increased weight. The learning period with the higher weight showed me that my technique sucked. I’m pretty sure some of my form still needs tweaking and that’s where I can film myself and send the video to @Kevin Teachanarong to look at and tell me. Send me a video to explain and then see the magic happen. Today I decided to take pictures because it’s something I have problems with so here they are be honest. I need to wash my mirror lol 😆

Trend
Has anyone seen or/end tried the new trend of turning plain yogurt into cheesecake by adding graham or some crackers or cookies into it and chilling it in the fridge for a few hours.

Yes!!! Greek yogurt + biscoff is my favourite combo. We have tried it with chocolate coated digestives too and it didn’t taste as good.
Feeling low and unworthy
Feeling quite low and unworthy today. I don’t actually think I’ve messed up, but on low days my mind only shows me the negatives and none of the effort I’ve put in. It’s hard not to feel like I’m failing when I’m really just learning. I’m trying to remind myself that progress isn’t about being perfect, it’s about continuing even when it feels messy. I have enough resilience to know I won’t give up, even on days like this. Showing up in small ways still counts right? How do you keep going when your head tells you you’re not doing enough?

I really relate to this! On low days, my mind does the same thing: it edits out all the effort and replays only the negatives. It doesn’t mean we’re failing, it just means we’re human and learning in real time. I try to remind myself that progress isn’t measured by the number on the scale in the morning, but by the fact that I keep going anyway. It’s okay to feel tired. It’s okay to take a rest day. We reset, and we show up again — rested and ready. Be kind to yourself. The resilience you mentioned is already proof that you’re doing enough. Baby steps! 💪🏼
One small win from the last 7 days
Started with a basic 20kg dumbbell set at home, unsure how long I’d stick with this “new way of living.” Seven months later (and still going 💪), I’m committed enough to invest in my little workout corner. Trusting the process — slowly but surely.
